There are 2 or 3 soaplands online that are foreigner friendly but if you visit in the daytime especially on a week day, you'll see many other soaplands will wave you in. That said, it's best to do your research on a number of the soapys in the area so you can make sure you're getting a decent one. Some will have outdated and / or edited photos of the staff for this reason, be careful.

I was about to recommend 3-star Premier Hotel Cabin Shinjuku right next to Okubo Park and hospital, where some street girls hang out, but the rate shot up to $150 with tax $182 in May, WTF? Some of the small izakayas will have Japanese only but you can use Google Translate camera to translate Japanese to English. If you still find things difficult, there's always McDonald's, Wendy's, Burger King, Denny's, etc.
Yamanote Line that's all you need to know. It circles Tokyo. You can't get lost. The massive train stations like Tokyo, Shinjuku, etc now that's another story altogether. Google maps is your best friend there. Even Japanese use it to find stuff.
