(1)I fly from BKK to Samui, price is not too terrible. I don't know of a direct ferry from Bangkok to Samui, if it existed it would be 450 km (about 12-20 hours). You probably mean a "bus plus ferry" option. The bus takes you from Bangkok to somewhere in Surat Thani, maybe a different bus to the Don Sak pier, then a ferry to Samui. I've never done the bus system, it's probably 15 hours. I have twice ridden the SeaTran ferries, nice ride. I've heard horror stories about the Raja ferries, so I avoid them.

(2) 3 days sounds about right for the Samui touristy stuff. Mongering is normally easy in both Chaweng and Lamai Beach, but there are never a lot of hotties. I keep in touch with 2 Samui P4P girls and they both went home in April because of too few customers. Don't expect to find many good P4P options.

(3) Can't help you with hostels, you can get a decent Samui hotel with breakfast in June for 1600 baht or less. You can find some under about 1000 baht if you don't need to be on the beach.

A short report from Chaweng, staying there for one week. We were two and we only looked into the horseshoe small street leading to the Green Mango disco. However, in the "main" street there were plenty of massage places giving different types of service, some also giving full service with blow jobs and fucking.

I just finished a few weeks in Samui and am happy to report that the P4P industry is improving. Chaweng is about the same as prior trips, but Lamai Beach has more doable girls than I've ever seen and more of the top flight hotties too. That is a comparison to the prior few years, the girl quality still lags far behind the Nana plaza go go bars, but I only need one per night and that is usually achievable from the Lamai Beach bars. Bar fines ranged from 300 to 1000 baht for ST, depending on which bar and what time. Girl fees ranged from 1200 to 3000, depending on girl hotness and if you were getting BBFSCIP. About 40% agreed to BBFS without conditions, about 30% agreed with an up charge, and 30% refused even if given insanely high up charge. Depending on the girl and time of night, a Lamai bar girl is likely to offer LT without up charge from the agreed ST price, probably because they don't want to sleep in their bar provided shit hole accommodation.

Lamai massage scene was about the same as in the past, mostly old hags with a few cuties scattered around. I did have BBFSCIP with two that were memorable and one that was ordinary.

Expect to need an umbrella and shoes that can get wet. Moving into dryer season now, you should be fine.

My mongering is limited to countries where it is legal or defacto legal (Germany, Czech, Spain, and Australia). I have never been to Thailand. So my preference is a more organized experienced so I'm thinking massage parlors. What are the best places in Koh Samui? Are there any tips?

I was thinking of OZO which is a bit far from the action. Is that okay place? Are they guest friendly? Or should I consider somewhere else?

YM.Lamai Inn 99 and Marina Villa are probably both in that price range. I've never stayed in either, but my friends have said positive things about both, including girl friendly. Marina is closer to Moon Road, but both are close enough. Lamai Inn 99 is closer to other points of interest.

Keep in mind that Samui has very few hotties, you need to search for the few that exist. It's probably advisable to make a side trip to Chaweng to see what is available there. Taxis on Samui are expensive, perhaps 400 or 500 baht each direction.

You might look at Chris Parker (retired working for you) I think that's his moniker on youtube. He lives in Bangkok, but he's getting ready to move to Koh Samui. Claims he loves it there. He's not a monger though just info on everything else.

I have been several times to Koh Samui and I enjoy the island. Last time I was there, Galaxy club (with Russian dancers) was closed. There was some redecoration of the building. Does anybody know if it is permanently closed or if it has reopened?

Appreciate all the suggestions here!It's not just LA, or the states, or even most countries. It's basically everywhere. As someone who's been around the world and lived in more than a few places, I'd say any decision to retire to Thailand is a good decision Stan. Whatever problems Thailand might have, it's nothing compared to everywhere else. As a foreigner with a little bit of cash, you'll enjoy the good life in Thailand, especially Koh Samui with a lower cost of living. I too am trying to find the good life, but sadly for financial reasons I'm trapped here in the States, the most expensive part too, in the north east. I'd give up my soul to retire full time in Thailand. If you can make it happen, you must. Not just for yourself, but for all of us who can't.
