View Full Version : Sosua Reports
I use the internet everyday in Rocky's when I go to breakfast. It works great. I can only speak for the restaurant part though. In the rooms, porches, and the 'pit'!
I left yane at the condo and go for a walk; I stop by rumba around 7pm and see a good looking mama with blonde hair a nice tattoo on her legs. And she's tick she has every thing I like on a girl make my body junior talk to her she asked rd1500 pesos quickly junior drop the price to rd1000 and she agree wow I don't how junior do that? But he live here he know what to say. We up on a moto in 1mnt we already at my condo. She seems a little shy when she see yanes there but they manage to get along fast. I decided to left again for some food and change ended up staying out for a good hr talking to a few dude. When I get back to the appartement I realize there's no body in the living room. I slowly walk to the bed home I see her eating yane out o yeah that's what I'm. Talking about I quickly took my clothes off and get a condom she told me junior have to leave I tld junior nicely to give me and hr she can come back later abd he left. OMG we were going crazy fucking like animal but after a while I made a big mistake decided ro go down on the other girl and I never do that for yane right a way I kill the mood but I didn't really pay attention I just decided. To keep fucking her man that was another big mistake coming with her because I have been fucking her all day and never come. I'm done and pay her rd1500 instead because I had a good session oh well look like she got more upset for doing that next thing I know she go to the balcony and started to cry wow. I was shock that's when I decided to go talk to her.

"Exactly? You never said she was a hooker?" E, now you have me confused. If you are acknowledging I didn't say she was a hooker, why did you call her a hooker in your 1st response? And exactly where did you read she had friends that asked money of me? Even if I wrote that (I didn't of course) that her friends asked money of me, how are you tying their requests to her, or how does that reflect on her when I clearly wrote she never asked me for anything? And I clarified that in my last post to you after what you copied and pasted? Somewhere you took a wrong turn. I'm curious to see the part you read where some friends of any chica asked money of me? Or we can just chock it up as a minor faux pas.Like I said, I must have been confusing the story, which I was. Sorry about that. I got it mixed up with Jarmondy's story about.
next thing I know yane's coming with some friends yane is a girl I met on Facebook I offer them some drink after a while I invited them to cone get some drink in my appartement we chill for a while and I decided its time for some action I pick yane and another girl OMG now its drana time the 3 other girl ask me to pay them for their time when I ask how much they said rd1500 each since I didn't want no drama I agree to pay rd1000 I learn my lessons every trip tk Sosua I learn something new.Moving too fast for the kid!

How is the quality of Internet connection at Rocky's? Two years ago at New Garden it was spotty, going down and coming back. Unpredictable if you make calls over Internet. The $25 room had a good internet connection but my skype did not work. Sosua Suites had good internet connection and my skype worked fine there.
Chris
Bullshit Indeed! Checkmate! But Mr E, if you notice, everyone of us puts a slight spin on our 'Dream Girl'. We always slant it! (ie. She never asked me for money, she's new, she's a NON-Pro, blah blah blah!) Mr W, told a great impelling story. Well Mr Enternational, I have a chica I met in Sosua, I've posted about Josefina several times, Listen closely, she's never, ever untill this day. 2 years and counting, haven't asked for a single peso!
But let me state this, I'm gunna break her off. Mr e 'I can't wait to open my wallet to her. I am doing this cause' I want to' period, 'no smoke and mirrors', 'no special effects! ', I am breaking her off, cause I want to. Period. I won't make up some bullshit reason, I want to take care of her. Period. And when I break you and mr gogo, in that '500 peso dice game' I'm going to give that to mi '2 day esposa'.Hey Deep what are you claiming is bullshit, and what are you saying checkmate to?
My girl told me this afternoon " babe I have to hit the street today to make some money in case you out of money before you leave " wow thats the type of girl I like I said go ahead boo. I slept for a while and junior come knock at my door "jimmy wake up I have a ***** for you" I was like "let's go June " we up on a moto concho to that girl house
She told me she's hungry I boy her some picka poyo and some beer and we took another moto to my appartement. She ate and undress to go to the pool, after 5 mnts at the pool she rold me " I want to fuck you" I told my friend I'm good I don't like her I'm not going to pay to fuck her I don't know what junior told her all I know we left the pool and we go inside she told junior she only need rd500 to pay her rent she don't mind fucking both of us wow only in sosua I starded fucking her I got soft on her. Now here come juniors time omfg no homo but junior fuck the shit out of her. After a while junior stop because he couldn't come. She ask me to pay her 1000 pesos junior said no way we agree for 500 I said to junior its ok but junior said no way and she agree to take it smh I was like wow I should of met junior since my firts trip because this guys know how to make deals and give people. Sweet talking as a matter of fact junior's in my room fucking an old canadian girl he met yesterday by the pool.

Think I saw those guys last time down, in Sosua. Pretty sure they were splitting a beer, and one guy had a chica bent over a table dry humping her, on the patio, at Rumba bar, at 3 in the afternoon. I 'm sure the german family, and their teenage daughter, enjoyed the show immensely. Couple of real high rollers!

I really would appreciate any help please.Since I see you are unable or too lazy to read the hundreds of trip reports, you seem like a "point and click" type of monger!
Buy a ticket to POP, take a taxi to Sosua, and the rest should just happen.
SDQ is really not set up for the lazy or first time monger, unless you do your homework.

I really would appreciate any help please.Where you go and what you do depends on a lot of things. Do you speak Spanish, what is your budget, are you in need of nice amenities such as a nice hotel with good air and firm mattresses, are you interested in the beach, will you want a driver or talent scout, what days of the week will you be there, are you looking to score mostly 9s and 10s, or is high volume GFE your goal, and more. We can take this offline if you wish, but you can't pm without paying (a worthwhile investment). Otherwise you will be flamed and told to RTFF, even if you ask the members not to. This is a mongerer's board, not a PTA web site. LOL

If none of the three of you has any experience of this kind of thing, how did you come to this decision to come to the DR to put fun in your lives? What do you really want to get out of it?
Are you with the Secret Service?

Yes I'm haitian move to boston when I was 15.Keep up the funny, informative reporting. It makes me laugh, when you give us a insight on the 'bullshit' these chicas give. But then again every one of us, are equally guilty of MAJOR LEAGUE BULLSHIT. I know I am. Hey like a wise man once told me. Ahem. 'If you can't DAZZLE a person with 'BRILLIANCE' baffle them with 'BULLSHIT'. Since I don't have the 'Brilliant' part down, I perfected the art of 'BULLSHIT'. LOL!
Went to classico with my girl smh theres a guy that like her want to spend the night with her I told her do your thing after a while I started getting drunk I decided to walk to the trade wind it was around 2:30am. As I'm walking. At the main highway I see a pick up truck with 4 politur on it drive up to me and start speaking Spanish I didn't understand. A word they were saying. BUT, if you were giving them money and clothes, you should have told them to take you to the police station where they are holding the chicas they locked up and said (in your best Wayne Brady voice)"Let's make a deal" and offered to pay bail money for a chica if she agreed to hang out with you all day.
No, but seriously, you should have just given them 500-1000 pesos each so they would leave you alone. I would have never invited them over to my hotel room by saying "not now, tomorrow." What if that also wanted your laptop or camera?
I haven't been to Sosua since May, but it's sounding like you have to jump through way too many damn hoops just to get some ass over there. From chicas charging money because they hung out with you (plus ate and drank your shit) but you did not have sex with them, to the Politur extorting tourists now (when you showed them your US drivers license that should have been the end of the discussion right then and there). That and the high-ass airfare and I am not sure if it's even worth it anymore (for me).
Or are guys going there now just making things unnecessarily harder for themselves?
Just got back from 5 days in Medellin. I will not dispute the "14th most dangerous city part", but I did not sense any danger while there and we were out at all times of the night. I am still feeling like shit from the Saturday / Sunday morning run we did. Finished club / strip club hopping at about 5am, had the taxi driver drop us off at the 24 MacDonald's in Poblado, walked back to our hotel rooms around 5:30am with no problems whatsoever.
The feeling like shit part comes from going to sleep at 6am, waking up 3hrs later, and not going back to sleep at all until 1:30 am, and then getting up at 4:15 this morning to catch my taxi to the airport.
We just did what everyone suggested: Stay out of El Centro at night, but if you do go then take a taxi directly to and from the club; try not to stick out too much wearing shit like gold chains and expensive watches, speak a VERY DECENT amount of Spanish, know where you are going and make sure your driver knows where he is going, etc.
But if you think you are going to go down there doing same shit you do in Sosua, you will definitely have problems and those problems will more than likely come looking for you. More to come in Mr. Gogo's forum. Stay tuned!
Oh, and for the Newbies on the Sosua forum wondering "who the hell is this guy talking about Medellin in the Sosua forum?":
SavePros monger credentials: 7 trips to Sosua, ISG Member since 2008, intermediate level of Spanish, survived numerous ongoing debates with the almighty Jaosous (sometimes we agree; sometimes we just agree to disagree, LOL).She looks very good. I can't wait to get the hell down there, jeesh.

I know this is the Sosua thread, focusing on reports of substance concerning mongering in Sosua. That being said If you want to read some "Funny Ass Shit"turn the channel briefly, and visit Mr Gogo forum. Once there read the funny as hell, informative report from ISG, legend Savepro321. I guess I'm tooting, his horn because Savepro would never "toot"his own horn. LOL. But Savepro will admire his self, way to much in the mirror"While smashing a chica. Lmao. Cocky S. O. B. Lmao.
I think Savepro321, is a ISG, version of " Chris Tucker of Mongering" (Ice Cube movie Friday and the character is called Smokey"anyway read his recent trip report to Medellin, Columbia. I bet you can't get through Savepros report without, LAUGHING YOUR ASS OFF. This shit is off the chain.
I don't want to give it away, but wait untill you hear the story of RAW ASS SMELL". Ill leave it at that. Lmao. Sorry folks and now back to our regularly scheduled programing, Sosua take it way.

Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years.Yes it does. Thanks for clarifying. Now exactly, when does someone elses reasons, excuses, explanations for how they spend their money on chicas become a problem or an issue for anybody else on these boards? I don't make the connection of how ones intelligence can be insulted by what another member posts about his trip? Especially if an individual reports that they honestly don't care who or how others spend their money? It's not like any of us are being forced to endure that individuals reality, fantasy or nightmare. What they do or say in regards to their trips has no DeepMmpactt on any of us. There is a saying I use which may be appropriate for situations like this."You can only think in one head". Nobody is exempt from ever making excuses, offering explanations or trying to be persuasive on some issue at some point in these forums. I think we all should consider that and cut each other some slack.

I may be misreading it but it didn't sound like he was being extorted. More like he was endulging them. I have just being friendly bought politur food and beers. Jarmondy sounded impressed at how they backed off instantly when they discovered he was not a typical sosua Haitian but a Haitian with US ID. Hope he doesn't lose his ID or he may find himself on on unplanned excursion to the Dajabon crossing.I still don't think you should post the video, that being said I have to agree with Marc Anthony. When I read back your report, oí Questions arises, here goes. In your situation What would possess you after being drunk the previous night, early the next morning to start filming this incident? You mustve invited them in and indulged them officers, I wouldn't think they wouldve just marched in uninvited, pop open some cold beer, and start trying on clothes"also Where was your hidden camera? Do you think in hindsight (always 20/20) that if one of those officers, wouldve discovered they were being filmed wouldve appreciated that? I do remember, you saying they asked for money and you saying "not now" or something to that effect. How long did this impromptu party last? You said you didn't speak spanish, Did they speak creole? How did you communicate?
Think long and hard, about posting that video, there was some various excellent opinions rendered here. But the decision is totally up to you. I hope you just consider the possible repercussions of that video being seen by one of them officers.
Spent the all day fucking on Sunday I got tired I decided not to go out. Since my girl is a sex addict and a money hungry she decided to hit the strit to make some quick cash. Well she wasn't so lucky! She told me after a quick session with a guy for rd2000 pesos + another rd500 tips she had enough she wanted to come back to my place. As she exited the new garden walking to take a moto she got arested by politur, it was around 3:am. She told me there was 120 girls that got arested that night. When 1 of the police that came to my place see her he told her "the captain is here there's nothing I can do for you now wait for a while " around 5:00 am he came back with another girl and he set my girl free damage rd1000 pesos. He also give her a ride to my place so she don't get arested again. The politur told me he can get in trouble for releasing her but I'm to nice to him that wouldn't be nice to let my girl stay in jail for the all day and he gave me his cell numb and told me any problem with a girl call him. Thank god I didn't post that video I would of feel bad right now and he also apologize for stoping me, he said they were just doing there job because this area is not a good area and it's unusual to see a tourist walking alone at this time.

Enjoy the feeling that you are in the universe where you didn't fuck up and post it. So he gave you two chicas back for 1000 pesos, not bad. Chicas you save from a nasty jail cell are more grateful anyway. Have you run into any other Haitian-American mongers in Sosua who speak native Kreyol, seem comfortably Haitian but have US ID and dollars? You are absolutely golden and unique to haitian chicas there. Appreciate and enjoy it. They will pay you to let them hang out.

And yes I invited them to come inside but they ask me for something to drink I told them I have beer and tequila and we started to drink. I have a pen that I bought on ebay for $85 its not really a pen it's a camera I can record up to 2hrs with it if we guys want to video tape the girs we need some like that because most of the girls don't like camera.

Yes it does. Since you dwell in the year 2005, let this Deepmmpact not crater you mind" hopefully I can forward you to the year 2012 or maybe 2013. Like I said I don't care, How or Who people spend, thier hard earn dough. I was just agreeing, with Mr Es point, that a monger should own up to what he pays. We were just saying, be proud and people will respect you. We all win some and we lose some.
I honestly enjoyed your posts, and learned alot from your posts, hopefully you can see clearer and Withstand. Rapid. X-rays but closer than 2005 feet. Hopefully come closer and into the light, In closing We all read these forums, and everybodys opinion is golden, Hell you guys even put up with my bullshit, and Its much appreciated. I just think "keeping it real". Counts for a whole lot. Or own up to everything we do. Peace hopefully I made a Deepmmpactt on your trend of thought.

Is this DR nonsense or just corrupt police shaking girls for the money?
I hope they are not shutting Sosua down. I was there at NG and BB couple years ago and loved it. Plan to go this winter again. Hope they don't kill this piece of paradise.

HI've seen police watch fights. I've heard about police running with the crowd if someone has a weapon. I've been extorted by the police for a measly 500 pesos when I had a disagreement with a girl. I've had a friend pay the police 100usd to get his computer back from the girl who stole it. It seems to me that the police are just there for a visual deterrent, and to make side money extorting anybody breathing.
It's the way it works in the DR. W. Hen driving from SD to Sosua and back with Mr E, we had the same cop stop us at the same spot for a handout. Me and Mr E just laughed the second time and drove off. The cop just laughed and said " next time" like he would be there if we ever drove by again.

In the press it now says that they were two Americans, and Israeli and a Dominican and they were robbed of 2 cellphones, Rd$400, an unspecified amount of US dollars and other belongings. The perpetrators were supposed policemen.

Just a little thaught on the police shakedowns. They seem to be a common thing there. And the police don't discriminate about whether one is a local Or a tourist. On my last trip I was hanging out with a chica I met on Cupid and we were driving somewhere close to Santiago. She was driving and I was drinking Brugal in the passenger seat quite content. We get stopped on side of road by a cop with a shotgun or some kind of a rifle (was late at night). He had a grin on his face and talked to my gf. Can't remember exactly what he said but the chica turns to me and casually tells me to give him 200 pesos. I did and he thanked me politely and turned away to wave down the next car. I think the only difference is that a tourist would probably have to pay 500 pesos if not accompanied by a local.
Watching that video made me realize how much I miss Sousa. I just left there about a month ago, I said I wasn't going back until the Superbowl. Fuck that! I saw the vid and booked a flight immedatally! Flight was only $260 too! On Oct 28 I'm going to Angles City. First trip over there, so that video of that gave me a ill insight on that! Thanks Grub

Of course enforcement of laws is very erratic in the DR, and it may be advantageous to pay a small bribe to avoid worse. It should be noted also that it is illegal to ride in the front passenger seat without a seat belt (does not seem to apply to carros publicos) or to operate a hand-held cell phone while driving. (So much for using your cell phone maps and driving directions while on the go.)

#traffic_safetyNot sure about having an open container in a car being a booking offense. My brother was stopped last month in Orlando Florida for a head light being out. He had an open container and was given a ticket for that. The officer said it was clear he wasn't intoxicated. Might be a waste of time to book someone for an open container if they aren't intoxicated. But maybe it can happen. Now I have heard of people being booked for an open container in public. A park, or street.
Five men with rifles stopped us at their roadblock (don't think Police, but was afraid not to stop as they were aiming their rifles at us). Paid 500 pesos and departed pronto.
I just called a friend who is a cop in Florida and he laughed. He said he would never book a passenger with an open container unless it was compounded with other offenses (drugs, warrants etc). He said a judge wouldn't even waste his time with such a petty offense. But a citation could be warranted. But still I wouldn't advise anyone to have an open container in their car.
He said parks and public places carry more weight but are basically used agains the homeless or suspicious people.

I fly from Chicago to POP for $800 (first class).
Hahaha. I was not even referring to the fact that I was drinking rum in the car in my post. That had nothing to do with us Being stopped and shaken down. I asked my gf about that after she said it happens to everyone all the time. As far as drinking in the car. LOL. I was in the car with her brother in law going to get meat one day in Santiago and we both had full cups of rum in the vehicle. He was driving and I refilled him at leas twice. When I commented on it to the extent of the legality he just looked me like I was nuts, laughed and downed his cup and told me to refill him. Apparently he is a truck driver for a living. I don't think there are many laws in the dr and the ones that are in effect get broken all the time

Then I checked my car out and got in and drove off with still a half cup left. Nobody seemed to give a shit. In the US they probably would have looked at me like I was crazy and refused to rent the car to me for some shit like that.

I realize there's 1000's of Haitians leaving in sosua without a single haitian restaurant I started to think open 1 won't be a bad idea but before I do anythings stupid I have some questions for those of you that own a business in dr or know about the system. Can we guys tell me what is the requirements to open a restaurant and dr? Do I have to be a Dominican residents? Where is better the beach or the street?I would love to see a Haitian restaurant anywhere on the North Coast but there are two reasons there aren't any and the fact that 99. 9% of Haitians cannot afford to eat in restaurants isn't one of them, as the only way you could hope to make money would be to cater as a "speciality niche" restaurant to gringos.
It is extremely difficult for any non-Dominican to run a business in the DR. There are a zillion rules, regulations, taxes and fees that are selectively applied. Any gringo who has a successful business either has high-level contacts or is paying a fortune in bribes. Whereas Dominicans can avoid most of these obstacles using a family contact or a modest bribe.
And because of the extreme prejudice against Haitians in the DR you would be in a worse position than anyone. And apart from the "official" and "legal" pressures and blackmail you would face, you could look forward to petrol bombs through your door and your staff being threatened or beaten up. You would have difficulty hiring Haitian staff (which would diminish the "authentic experience" for tourists) as jobs have to be offered to Dominicans first. And you would have to have residency to run any business.
Finally, if my some miracle you survived and were seen to make a profit, one day a carload of gangsters, lawyers and colonels would turn up and find some shit reason why you have to shut down (and the law here is so incredibly complex it could even be a legal reason) but they will do you a favor and make you an offer you cannot refuse. Any resistence and you would be deported on the next plane out. This is happened to several gringos in the past. Not many, because not many ever achieve profitable status.
If you are serious about the idea I suggest you talk to some of the few non-Dominicans who do run businesses in the "entertainment" sector here. If you don't personally know any I could PM you some suggestions.
Funnily enough I have just come back from a restaurant on the Malecon in Puerto Plata. Talking to the gringo owner he said that the only good things in the DR are the sun, the beaches, the women, and the rum. (I would add the bachata and others would add the cigars). He then went on to say that if a tsunami washed away the North Coast it would be no loss as the world would not miss such a shithole. He is a normally genial and tolerant guy but has been driven to exasperation by the insanity, the greed, the corruption and the incompetence of Dominican bureaucracy, both official and private suppliers. Now he is in the 1% or less whose gringo business has survived for a year or more. What do you think the other 99% are saying (those who have not topped themselves or died of stress-related conditions)?
The old question was "How to leave the DR with a million dollars?". Answer: "Arrive with two million dollars". Nowadays they have made it difficult to leave with your remaining million, unless you are a drug-dealer or crooked politician.
The DR is a great place to come and enjoy the things listed above, sun, beaches, chicas, rum, bachata and cigars. It is a deathtrap for outsiders wanting to run a business and ten times worse for a Haitian or someone who looks like a Haitian.
The DR is a great place to come and enjoy the things listed above, sun, beaches, chicas, rum, bachata and cigars. It is a deathtrap for outsiders wanting to run a business and ten times worse for a Haitian or someone who looks like a Haitian.Mr. Pooter,
You just described in gory and graphic details how 85% to 95% of the countries in the world function, of different intensities, including DR.
Unfortunately, you are right.
H
Charles I don't dispute anything you said in your post. However, I was wondering how the Cuban owned clubs in Santo Domingo survive? Do they pay alot of graf or what? How about the Italians in Boca Chica? I am sure there are other examples of business owned by foreigners but you get the point.
I would love to see a Haitian restaurant anywhere on the North Coast but there are two reasons there aren't any and the fact that 99. 9% of Haitians cannot afford to eat in restaurants isn't one of them, as the only way you could hope to make money would be to cater as a "speciality niche" restaurant to gringos.
I realize there's 1000's of Haitians leaving in sosua without a single haitian restaurant I started to think open 1 won't be a bad idea but before I do anythings stupid I have some questions for those of you that own a business in dr or know about the system.I didn't realize there were that many Haitians in Sosua. What is the difference between Dominican cuisine and Haitian?

I didn't realize there were that many Haitians in Sosua.I doubt if there are that many ("1000s") there at any one time but no doubt well over a thousand pass through in the course of a year.
What is the difference between Dominican cuisine and Haitian? For the mass of the populace, very little, as both populations have to buy and live off whatever is cheapest, which is much the same on both sides of the border, rice, beans, platanos and occasional chicken and fish.
But someone opening a specialist niche restaurant for tourists and the middle-classes would offer the traditional French Creole menus which are much more imaginative and varied than anything the Dominicans could come up with. It's like comparing Paris with Madrid.
Basically French cuisine but incorporating stuff only found in the tropics and some ideas from African cooking. Haitian restaurants are popular in Paris. I doubt if Dominican restaurants are popular in Madrid, except maybe with ex-pat Dominicans.
I don't have a horse in this race. I'm English but for me Italian cooking is tops.

Also, this quote is classic:
Sir William Walker: Gentlemen, let me ask you a question. Now, my metaphor may seem a trifle impertinent, but I think it's very much to the point. Which do you prefer. Or should I say, which do you find more convenient. A wife, or one of these mulatto girls? No, no, please don't misunderstand: I am talking strictly in terms of economics. What is the cost of the product? What is the product yield? The product, in this case, being love. Uh, purely physical love, since sentiments obviously play no part in economics.
[general laughter]
Sir William Walker: Quite. Now, a wife must be provided with a home, with food, with dresses, with medical attention, etc, etc. You're obliged to keep her a whole lifetime even when she's grown old and perhaps a trifle unproductive. And then, of course, if you have the bad luck to survive her, you have to pay for the funeral!
[general laughter]
Sir William Walker: It's true, isn't it? Gentlemen, I know it's amusing, but those are the facts, aren't they? Now with a prostitute, on the other hand, it's quite a different matter, isn't it? You see, there's no need to lodge her or feed her, certainly no need to dress her or to bury her, thank God. She's yours only when you need her, you pay her only for that service, and you pay her by the hour! Which, gentlemen, is more important. And more convenient: a slave or a paid worker?

I had a chance to talk to one of my Dominican friend that live in Puerto plata. He told me the best way 2 do it is to open a low budget restaurant don't spend no more then $4000, find a dominican girl and put the restaurant under her name so I can be hustle free. He said he can find me a place to rent on pedro clisante for only $500 a month and 3 people to work for me for rd2000 pesos each, every other week. He said I can easily make rd60000 pesos a week on slow season. What do we guys think?

But if you've got money to dump into an bottomless pit, then go for it.
But don't expect anyone on this board to take you seriously. Besides probably not even knowing what a business plan is or looks like, you're already fucking up by talking to the wrong people. Charles Pooter suggested you talk to expats who have had experience operating businesses in the DR, and you are instead talking to Dominicans; the same people who will be ripping you off for the life of your business. Maybe you are cool with being shaken down though. You've already given clothes away to the police. But if you thought that was an interesting event, you probably ain't seen nothing yet.
I bet your "Dominican Friend" probably didn't tell you how much it would cost you in start-up costs before you opened anything (business permits, utilities, pay offs, etc.). Where are you going to buy the food you are selling? Equipment to cook the food? How are you going to manage to stay in business when all of your Police friends are wanting to bring their entire family by to eat for free every night? What's stopping your employees from bringing their families in to eat for free (especially since you more than likely will not be there actively managing the place yourself)? What's stopping your employees from raiding the fridge and taking food inventory home to cook for their kids? Security? How else are you going to keep thieves and your Police friends from breaking into the place and stealing your inventory during the hours your restaurant is closed?
Did you even ask him how he came about "RD6000 pesos a week on slow season"? More than likely he pulled this number out of his ass. Is he currently running a business himself making that much a week?

For $4000. 00 you will not even get one of those places on the beach.
Next point. I like how you casually mention finding a girl to put the business under her name. I am sure you will get a lot of applicants.
I don't want to get into the finer points of operating a business but you can rest assured that even if your gross profit was 60000 a week you would prolly see very little of it in your pocket after all your expenses. And shrink. Legit and non-legit.

There's the fantasy of living down in a place where there is an endless supply of chicas and the beach. And then there's the reality of making a healthy profit running a legit business. Whether starting a business at home or elsewhere, on site market research is warranted. At least at home, there's still a home to go to if a business idea fails but abroad, that can be another story.

Most hotels and restaurants in the tourist areas charge a fee to pay with cc to cover their extra charges. Cash is king in Sosua.

Most of this stuff is common sense. Changing money is not a game of "3 card monty." There are hundreds of posts in this thread on where to exchange money, whether a bank, Western Union, etc, there is no reason to exchange money with someone that is trying to pull a fast one. There are exchange shacks with people just sitting there all day.

Your banking institution may or may not charge for an ATM transaction. It depends on your agreement.
There is always a VISA / MC fee on a conversion. Visa rate on debit and credit is usually 2. 5%
Scotiabank ATM fee on other institution card is 110 peso. There is no fee inside a branch or if one uses Scotia's $RD card. One can open a chequing peso account and pay maintenance and other fees. Minimum is 5, 000 peso.

By looking at the concept of the tyranny of discontinuity we can help ourselves extricate ourselves from the shackles of choice. Our brains are wired to categorize individual items into related groups, often incorrectly. We simply fail to see the continuity of things. To use the relevant example of women, if we look at any dating pool of women we can discern that they will vary in intelligence, physical attractiveness, and in personality. However, such variation will fall into a normal curve, so we can expect that most women one approaches and dates will be average. There will not be anything spectacular about them. If you get rejected by one you can be rest assured that the next one that you encounter will be quite similar in cognitive and physical parameters. If you have a set criteria for IQ, race, and physical attractiveness then they really will approximate each other. Just think of the women in your dating pool as existing on a continuum in which they all approximate each other. There will always be one similar to what you have had before or maybe even a little bit better, but not by much. In addition, when we have a large pool of alternatives we have difficulty making a choice on account of the fact that we always think we can make a better choice. So when you finally do get around picking up a chica sometime during your insights, do you then, while she is riding you and bouncing up and down those great tits, calculate the surface of revolution of a torus, or do you actually finally relax, realize where you at and go like the rest of us "oh yeah baby, life is good"?

(lmao!). I wish you the best Zagman. But Please. Try to dumb it down for guys like me.

had a great time in sosua the last 4 days!
i'm glad i choose this over black beards for my 1st visit because i'm more of a "hunter".
the good.
winner bar / club 59. the ultimate hunting ground! i preferred the "slow" nights simply because all the girls would congregate at the bar giving me plenty of eye candy. also i hate packed clubs.
passions. awesome! #endofstory.
sea breeze. the room was good and the internet speed wasn't half bad! .
the area. pretty safe to walk even at night and everything's just a couple minute's walk away.
the (mildly) bad.
sneaky taxi guy trying to charge me $30us from airport to the hotel.
the guy at the airport wanting a tip for literally carrying my luggage 3 steps to the car.__-
people trying to be my bestest friend when they're really after money.
sea breeze. the lighting in the room was bad for photography. i have 3 strip tease videos that are unwatchable.
sea breeze. whenever i left the premises i was pestered by guys trying to sell me tourist trinkets.
passion. i only got to go once this trip.
the ugly.
this one chick on my last night that turned out to be a total starfish in bed. i was planning for tln but i ending up paying her to leave after an hour. and she seemed like such a freak in the club.
Is a must do one time mongering for dummies. Sosua is for when you do not need training wheels. The variety and atmoshere are compelling. Gorgeous young girls some just stating out is a blast.

I read somewhere that New Garden, although convenient location, is quite noisy. Some guys have recommended Casa Cayena since it is a bit further but quieter.I think both places (SB & NG) have the potential to be noisy depending on the occupants.
If you've got a large group of guys by the pool things will get pretty loud in a hurry.
I don't mind too much but I do like to take afternoon naps so it can be a little annoying.
I read somewhere that New Garden, although convenient location, is quite noisy. Some guys have recommended Casa Cayena since it is a bit further but quieter.I stay at ng all the time, every trip. Close the curtains, with the ac going and the fan, you won't hear anything. Really. Its never been a problem for me. I can't recommend it more. New building is nicer, but old building gets it done 100%.
Never had a problem with NG, I don't usually go to bed untill 6 AM, and never hear a thing. Close curtains, ac running, been partying all night and have a sweet chica next to me, No I don't hear any noise at all.

I like BB, its nothing about Dummies, I been all over the world and BB is nice and relaxing. No problem. I have always spent two days there on every trip and have been there over 40 times. People are nice, and I always rent a car from even the first time I was ever in DR which was a real crazy ride. But Its always a good relaxing time. Been to every area of DR and many places no normal gringo could even go. BB is a must see and I like it plently. Sosua is also a fun place. But BB a must stop every trip untill I get to the fucking jungle with all the savagess.

LOL, but DAMN. She was hella fine. The noise is really non existant, turn the fan on and A / C and make your own 'F&N' (Fun & Noise wink wink! Screaming Ass Chica) also, guys its time to get your nachos out, cause I'm going to say something 'CHEESY' I want to thank Mr Jackson for this AMAZING WEBSITE. Its funny, but when we read everybodys posts, we go into a daze. But I've met the most COOLEST, people in person and over the net. Its a real pleasure a rush, when you Pm people, and get to know them personally. I get real excited, when people take off thier ISG, masks I. E. Puta Romeo, Savepros, Coolie High, Bq ribs Hillbilly, JaoSosua, Arttistyp, When a monger gives you there real first names, Its a absolute rush, Mr Gogo and the rest of you. Thanks A Million for the newly found friendships. Especially my boy Tomjackin. Westsideeeee.
I read somewhere that New Garden, although convenient location, is quite noisy. Some guys have recommended Casa Cayena since it is a bit further but quieter.I have stayed at New Garden and sometimes it does have a frat house mentality. Some of the other hotels have even made complaints about the noise level. I guessing that it depends on when you go. I am a older person so I appreciate quiet. The new wing tends to be a bit more quiet and it looks nicer. They charge you more, though. The lower the rooms the more noise you will have to deal with. When I first went to the DR places like New Garden were the way to go. Now I like more peace.
Terra Linda is as quiet as it gets. It is also quite nice. You might like it.

NG is nice but it is "stupid" loud there. I literally bring ear plugs with me if I stay there. Not just loud at 3:00am but loud 24/7! When I say "stupid" loud I mean a large group of guys being overly loud in the pool area just yelling for no damn reason sometimes with no girls in sight. Often I can't believe this crap is going on at 6am, 7am or 8am, I think when I hear it at 4:00am well it will stop but it doesn't, it really is kinda of strange. Then just when you don't hear anyone in the common area late morning or early afternoon and you think great I can catch a nap. BAM. You hear crowds and you realize a baseball game or soccer game is going on in the field behind the place.
It really is a nice place and well run but anyone concerned about noise should be aware of the issue. Obviously many guys dont care and I understand that also.
I have stayed there many times and never had a problem with noise. I am sure you just had some idiots staying there. I can assure you there is not normally people yelling out at the pool at 4 am for no reason. Not trying to be argumentative but I never had a problem with noise or yelling people.

OK, I'll bite on this one. Dude, there is a wonderful thing out there called Google!
Approx. 5.5 hours.About driving from Punta Cana to Sosua? It's about an 8 or 9 hour drive. Add more time if you plan to drive thru the traffic of Santo Domingo. Best to take the Los Haites highway. Long ride. Take the bus.
I have stayed there many times and never had a problem with noise. I am sure you just had some idiots staying there. I can assure you there is not normally people yelling out at the pool at 4 am for no reason. Not trying to be argumentative but I never had a problem with noise or yelling people.I don't take it as argumentative, so no worries. Sure late night noise is not an every night ordeal but happens more then it should IMO. Some trips are worse then others. I have also stayed there many times, like I said, a nice, convenient, well run place that is why I keep going back from time to time but just trying to inform ISG members that may not like noise that there definitely is the potential for some there.

Read some of the driving horror story posts before you plan something like this like it was driving from Miami to Tampa.I've driven PC to Sosua and back a few times and its fairly easy but long. Before the new highway between LRM and PC the ride used to take about 3 hours between PC and SDQ and then another 3 hours from SDQ to Sosua, if you take the other new toll highway from SDQ to the north coast and then highway 5 thru Nagua, Rio San Juan, etc into Sosua. If you take SDQ thru Santiago way it may be longer.
I've read that the new highway between PC and LRM chops about 30. 45 minutes off of the time so your PC to SDQ part may only be 2 hours 15 minutes in stead of 3 hours now.
The drive is not difficult or dangerous or anything its just long, so technically it may be a 6 or 7 hour drive it may take you longer if you count in bathroom breaks, photo ops, potential puta opportunities and other tourist distractions. The trickiest part is navigating thru Nagua, the road is marked but not always clearly so pay attention.
I usually break the drive up into 2 parts, stopping halfway in BC and continuing on the next day arriving at my destination the next day refreshed and ready to hit the ground running.

I've been on several trips of diving with them. That was the first company that I used, but I'm not sure if they closed down with Sosua Bay Hotel since it was in the hotel's basement. First, I want to give my sympathy to all the mongers who cannot monger anymore because of unemployment and the great recession. After a 2 year absent, Did a two weeks 3days middle of sept. 2012 vacation. The first and second day was not good, I'm a little picky. Did not choose properly, that was my fault. Look like so many new faces I never seen before. The third day and forward found some nice new chicas and repeated with some from the past. I had a lot more nice Haitian women compared to past trips. I never do happy hour, lots of women in your face at the same time competing for your company. Could not choose, so I flip a (coin) peso heads or tails, I'm having a good time, don't want it to end. Most of my short time was 1000 peso. Only did two st for 1500 peso. Did a walk through of passions and cmp. The chicas, no disrespect, lapassion feels dead to me. Cmp club, wow! The chicas make me feel like I took some viagra, and I don't use viagra. I feel the energy, but I will not pay those prices they charge for short time. Always on a tight budget, This is the country I come back to again and again.
Did a couple of hours visit for bikini contest at field of dreams hotel. Nice place and chicas. As far as the contest, I have a feeling blackbeards is much more sophisticated. Back to sosua. Classicos at 10pm in the past would have mucho people, not any more, Change that to 12 Midnight for the crowd. Rumba bar and D'latin bar across the street from Bar central are the spots early on activity. Police still try to lock up some chicas but it is not as bad as two years ago. It will not ruin the hobby. Let me upload some photos for a little taste of my trip. Back in sex prison USA. New york. I still love sosua.

But the OP should be aware that there can be crazy overloaded motoconchos, huge unexpected holes in the road, stray horses and dogs. And a legal system that may throw you into very scary jails if you have an accident even if you are clearly not a fault. Just saying read some of the old reports about driving adventures in the DR.

And a legal system that may throw you into very scary jails if you have an accident even if you are clearly not a fault. Just saying read some of the old reports about driving adventures in the DR.I would also say to the OP to keep in mind that several million people in the DR either drive or take transportation every day and they are not involved in accidents on a daily or annual basis any more than anyplace else. I've read the horror stories here on this site and others but I have been renting a car for every trip (about 30+ trips in all) driving here for the last 8 years every time and have never had an accident or even came close. Driving here is no different than driving any other place, foreign or domestic. The key is to drive sensibly and defensibly not like a maniac gringo on vacation.
The majority of the DR is rural, the kids play on the side of the road, farmers move their cows from one pasture to another and there are potholes. Drive accordingly. The motoconcho drivers have been riding those motor bikes since they could walk and they know how to drive them and the Dominican people know how to coexist on the roads with them IMO its the expats and gringos that make stupid driving mistakes that typically result in some mishap.
My post was an answer about how to drive between Sosua and PC, not about the potential dangers of that drive.

For some reason BB's seems to always get their formula correct when it comes to chica talent. At least there were a lot of pretty girls.Maybe it was so slow as in number of customers, the girls just got a bit down, as in any type of business when it's slow.

I only went once and ended spending most of my time at Classicos and Winner Bar.
Next time I'll definitely give it another shot!
Just got back from Passions, definitely wouldn't call it dead. Very hot, temperature and girls. There were a few girls dancing, but kind of hard to see past the 5 reaching across the bar, wanting to go upstairs. Must have been an off night when you were there. The bars & discos further downtown, it is impossible to sit alone for more than 10 minutes before being approached by a girl. Usually more than one. This is anytime of the day, after dark it gets insane. Classicos & Winners, Rumba, that little bar on the corner of dr rosen, girls everywhere! Got to love it.

Have you guys been paying the cabbies in dollars or pesos?Where ever you go on this planet always do everything in local currency when possible.
There is suppose to be a party today at Passions as they open a new bar in the club.Yes, supposed to kick off at 6 pm I don't think I would want to be there when it's too crowded, they could definitely use a little more ventilation, or a few a / see units running. The girls are hot enough by themselves.

Love to ask the experts here what they think new years eve would be like in Sosua.
ThanksI'm not an expert, but I'll share my experience. I was in Sosua for New Years a few years ago and I had a great time with the people that I know on the Island, but in general, it was quiet compared to other times of the year. Even though it was high season for tourists that go to the AIs, many of the Dominicans that hangout in Sosua had gone home to be with their families during the holidays. Things started to pick up a bit on NYE, but there were still less people than you find during other times of the year. Again, this was a few years ago.

I was there for NY 2011 (right after the crackdown). It was a good time. Not as busy as otherwise, but still plenty of action around.
I do remember that Passions was closed on New Year's Day.
Also, I remember there was some crazy religious revival on the baseball field behind N. Garden. It was very loud with
born-again type preaching and they started at about 6AM. I heard they do this every year around N. Year's so you might.
not want to stay at N. Garden, Casa Valeria, T. Linda, et al if you want to sleep.

For what it's worth, breakdown of what I paid in Sosua over the last 3 months:
3 girls at 1000 pesos. All Haitians somehow.
10 girls at 1200 pesos.
10 girls at 1500 pesos.
2 girls at 2000.
I usually leave tips between 200 and 500. Never had a single problem.
All were picked on the street, in bars or at a nightclub. Stayed at NG twice, but never picked a girl at NG. I always tell them "for a few hours" (short term). All 25 years max (most under 22) , slim to very slim, small breasts more than big boobs. Long straight black hair a plus.Yup thats about right, especially during the day. My max is 1500 pesos.

That chick pussy look rotten. Fkn gross

Trying to re-establish the "Sosua" thread with this post. Let's see what happens. What is, or is supposed to be, the difference between the "Sosua" thread and the "Sosua Reports" thread? I guess one could be for trip reports and the other for more general information, but seeing how guys cannot keep the photos thread for photos, or the Puerto Plata thread for Puerto Plata, and so on, I cannot see them observing that distinction, especially as much useful general information is sparked by a trip report or vice versa.
That chick pussy look rotten. Fkn grossWhere is your trip report and photos so we can compare?

Also I know this was done in Dr because the sound of the Motoconchos and horns in the background! Definetly done in Sosua! Anybody know this chica?I was sent a video of a Sosua girl taped having sex at Europa, and told I could post it in the Gogo forum. I talked it over with Mr E, Savepros and BQ after showing them the video, and we decided not to post it. Girl solo videos arent bad, but the one I was sent had the girl being fucked in the ass as she cried.
There was a guy I met sitting at 4 Roses in 08. The older gentleman was from NY. He had over three hundred videos of Sosua girls doing solo. He even had one of my girl that was working at the bar. He said he never shows anyone and its for his private viewing only.
Well, I had to question my girl about the deal. She signed a paper release. The guy never participated. And the girls were paid 200USD for two hours of video. All of his videos were shot at Europa, so I don't think that is one of his.
I was there on a few, after Christmas Eve it goes lame. 21-28th of January during those Dominican Holidays is alot better timewise and girlwise, beach action is insane then also. Thanks very much. Looks like it's best to pass on that idea.

I had my first trip to DR on Sept 28th to Oct 2nd. I am going to post some stuff that would help mostly newbies like me because although I did RTFF, you have to go through many pages to piece together some good info. If there was a sticky post in each forum about the basics that most newbies will do, I think it will help a lot. (Top monger hotels with approximate price range, top 3 or 4 monger spots and average prices, where to exchange money, what to look out for, some decent restaurants & bars)
I spent $459 USD for a direct flight from Jet Blue. The taxi is a flat rate of $25 USD from Puerto Plata airport to Sosua. Some hotels will arrange for you to be picked up for $20USD. I stayed at the Plaza Europa Hotel. It cost me $145 USD in cash for 4 nights. The place is not the Hilton, but it had a pool, Jacuzzi, A / C, WiFi, electronic safe, flat panel tv with cable and porn channels. My room had 2 queens size beds. 2 bathrooms, and an extra room with a fridge, oven, microwave and was girl friendly. I thought it was perfectly fine although I couldn't get a strong enough wifi signal to get online. The hotel has a computer in the lobby that you can use.
The hotel is on the main street Calle Pedro Clisante which is where all the action is.
There are basically 2 places where you want to go. Passions, which is about 3 blocks to the left coming out of Plaza Europa, and Classic 59 which is about 4 or 5 blocks to the right coming out of Plaza Europa.
Passions: This is a place that has two large bars and a bunch or girls employed by the bar. There are rooms in the back to take them. The rooms have nice beds, showers and A / C. The bar does not have A / C. You can take a girl to the room for an hour for 2500 pesos which is about $64 USD ($1 USD is about 39 pesos). I took a short girl with glasses named Katie and another girl named Laya. Both were very good and I had no complaints. There is also an option to take them out for the night. Obviously the price is higher the earlier you take them out. I think it costs as much as 7500 pesos if you take them from noon to 10am the next day, and as little as 2500 pesos if you take them out from 1 am to 10am the next day. There are about 30 girls there from what I saw. Drinks are regularly priced (Presidente is 100 pesos).
Classic 59 and the surrounding bars: Classic 59 is a club just like HELP in Rio was where most of the men are mongers and most of the women are freelance workers. It cost 200 pesos to get in. I took a girl out of there for short time. She was a thin fake blonde named Reny. She asked for 2500 pesos. I offered 1500 and settled on 2000 pesos. She was cool and a good performer. Classic 59 is upstairs from a big open air bar with no windows or doors. I forget the name of it, but there are a bunch of these type of bars within 1 to 2 blocks of Classic 59. All of these bars and the streets around them are the stomping grounds for all the freelance workers.
Across the street from Classic 59 is a bar / restaurant called Britannia which has a good bacon / eggs / pancakes kind of breakfast. Across the street from Britannia is another good breakfast place. Also about two doors down from Britannia towards the beach is a good pizza place.
The beach is about 3 blocks past Classic 59 taking the left road where the streets split. The beach is cool and you can rent chairs and umbrellas for like 100 pesos, plus the guy will also get you food or drinks from the little restaurants on the beach. The water is very nice and clear and there are trees and coconut trees on the beach to get extra shade if you want it.
Changing money can be done at a lot of places and they give pretty decent rates. I think I got like 39 pesos per dollar when the official rate was like $1USD= 39. 22 pesos. There are also some ATMs and they have armed guards in front of them for your safety.
As for safety, it seemed pretty safe even late at night. That was only on the main street. I did not go into the side streets late at night. My hotel had a guard with a shotgun in front all night so I guess it is not exactly safe, but if you're a monger you probably already know the rules of not flashing cash or jewelry or not making yourself an attractive target.
Practically every guy on a motorcycle is a taxi. You can ride on them for very cheap like 50 pesos or so depending how far you need to go.
All in all, I would say Sosua is a good mongering spot with a good variety of girls, with good attitudes for ½ to 1/3 the price of Rio. With the added bonus of being about a 3 hour flight from NYC I can see why so many people from NYC make it their top mongering destination. I'm sure I'll be back for one or two quick trips a year.

Believe me they will accept your price you just have to hold your ground. ChrisI look forward to my first trip there in late November and will certainly adhere to these guidelines with a starting counter at 1, 000 and a max of 1, 500. Like you said, there are more providers there than customers so it should be a buyer's market. If one doesn't go for 1, 500 max (for ST) , then there should be many more in town who will. I'm not wasting any time with those who refuse to accept this max.

ChrisChris, your price guidelines are right on. However, you have to consider that if he's used to going to Rio, he probably thought he was paying next to nothing in Sosua! Rio is more like 5 or 6
times more expensive than Sosua. Sosua is indeed a fun place, though not sure it's best in the western hemisphere.
Price and product the place can not be beat. The Haitian girls try very hard. They charge less and work harder. Tere is so much product it is a buyers market. Plus many fresh 19 year olds. You can have what you want all day long. I nver seem to have enough leche.
And.

Price varies with time of day and where you are. You can pick up a hottie any time of day and the price is usually low. There so many girls and so few guys. Watch out for the hard core pros. They are very aggressive. They promise a lot and rarely perform well. You pop they roll. I like the semi pro types. They tend to be less in a hurry and are happy when they can score. Last trip I had 3 19 year olds who were very sweet. Take time to talk a bit before you pull the trigger. The hard core chicas are very easy to spot.

Fifth trip to the north coast a few days ago. I operate mostly by instinct now. Much more enjoyable that way.
Thursday. Finishing unfinished business.
Arrived in the evening after having taken care of some long neglected Santiago cupid girls.
Checked in at New Garden To play it safe this time. Can't get wrong with NG. Logged into facebook and found Johanny Online. Started chatting and by an amazing coincidence she was at the hotels' bar, where usually not-so-cute chicks hang out. I met Johanny last trip the day her family in Santo Domingo discovered she went into prostitution. She drank 6 whiskeys back to back that night.
Went to chat with Johanny downstairs, intent on asking her to come for a shower. Quality of girls hanging by the pool of NG has definitely improved."We are not bothered by Politur here", Johanny said. Told me about her brother that just got murdered, her kids that are sick. Not a lucky girl. Johanny had put on weight and cut her hair. Then I remember she was the worst fuck ever. Reverse call-girl all the way. WTF. Finished my beer and headed to my favorite hunting place instead.
"Sammyyyyyy!" shouted a youthful female voice as I just entered the Rumba bar. Pamela Ran across the bar to jump into my arms, clinging to me as if I was her daddy coming back from a long trip. So sugary at that age. Pamela is a funny petite teen that caused me a major scare last trip by having Politur calling me to come take her out of their custody.
After sharing a Presidente with her, I felt like smoking and asked Pamela. She had no clue. Bet her 500 pesos if she could figure it out all on her own. She went for the cigar & motoconcho, and 30 min later we were smoking on the benches of Sosua's park, behind AfterOne. The thing barely stand on its own, and she had stuffed it to death, but a worthwhile effort nevertheless.
Hit Classico, just as the first guitar notes from this famous Romeo Santos "Mi Santa" bachata filled the room. Took the hand of a slim negrita With an elegant white outfit, and the dance steps came right back. The neon's lights and the smell of the disco brought back so many memories."I made a pact with the devil and gave him my soul without a thought for my future" said the song, aptly. But for now, it felt like in paradise again.
Saw Sara By her favorite corner next to the high benches. Sara is a wild hottie I made really upset last trip, as I was suppose to rent her place before changing my mind within hours of arriving. I stared at her while dancing. Gosh she looked like a doll with that khaki bouffant mini-skirt hugging her perfect form. She did as if she hadn't seen me, going flirting around with guys in a so-much Sara's way. Squeezed to the bar next to her, ordered a Corona and glided the bottle toward her, as a token of truce. She took it and smiled, feigning surprise to see me again. We were back in business."Remember you had no panties the first time we went to Classico?" I said. She took the hint and went to the bathroom to remove them. I had Sara at my fingertips again. Later at my tonguetip too.
Friday. Another Crazy idea.
Moved to a fancy hotel in Playa Dorada, as I had a preppy Santiagena coming to visit me. She was expecting some romantic adventure with a rich tourist, and probably would have been choked meeting a monger at the New Garden.
She was not arriving before the evening, so instead of enjoying the facilities and all-inclusive benefits of the BlueBay like any tourist would do, I decided to squeeze in a date. Once a monger. .
Invited a waitress from Sosua for a seafood treat in Maimon. Sosu'a girls love to be taken out of Sosua it seems. Scarla Had taken some weight since the time I first met her and cut her hair. Bummer. Around a delicious baked red snapper, she told me about her dreams to buy and renovate a family house in her native Cabarete for her 2 young kids to grow up and get proper education.
Scarla works from 6pm to 3am. 6 days a week, so she definitely looked tired having shorten her night to come with me. So out of pure gratitude, I offered her to drop by my fancy hotel for a nap. She did not say a word as we drove back from Maimon, and was really sweet in bed, missionary style, kissing and caressing more like an online date. Amazingly she opted for a long shower with me instead of a nap. On the way back, we picked the other waitress of her bar in Chamarico."If we have an accident, your boss is out of business" I joked. Once in Sosua, she waited for her coworkers to leave the car and asked for money. Gave her 1000. She was clearly expecting more, and left in a hurry without a word, nearly banging the door on a passing motorcycle.
Went to pick up my Santiagena at the bus station. I had an All Inclusive wristband for her. They had a "Lover's Night" that night by the Hotel's main pool-bar. The hotel staff and the band were doing their best to create some ambiance out of a sleepy european crowd.
"I am the only non-white person who is not working here" (loose translation) Karen Said half jokingly. Ooops. I may have overdone it. She did not feel too comfortable in this setting. Tried to explain her the concept of Political Correctness as well. Got that blank stare. Some things are not meant to cross cultural barriers I guess.
I sighed. I would so much prefer to be in Classico.
Saturday. Back to basics.
Back to New Garden. Hit Rumba late in the evening. Spotted a Rihanna Look-alike, sitting outside with a couple of friends. Resemblance was striking. And a nice black outfit to boost. Went to chat and offered a beer. Not a lively personality, though, and I was talking mostly to her friend. Two semi-resident mongers joined us, and shared some colorful tips about getting girls on the cheap in the countryside. Probably too aggressive techniques for me, though. Sosua is a small community, and I need to care about my reputation with girls. My days of vacation are just too few and precious. Plus I am not that price-sensitive.
By the time we finished the fourth round of beers, Rihanna's friend was all over me. Even tried to unzip me. Marybel Had a nice face and just turned 20, but overweight for my taste. Tried to throw some hints at Rhianna that I'd rather go with her, but clearly some solidarity among girls was at play here. I did get offered a three-some though. Business first.
Got bored with that game and waved at Sara To take me out of there. Sara tends to gravitate not too far from me, even though she is too proud to admit it. She offered to go play blackjack. I removed Marybel's hand from over my crouch, excused myself with my new monger friends, and quickly slipped out of Rumba with Sara.
Casino Didn't last long. Sara played as bad Blackjack as me. Plus it was Classico's time. I was itching to hit the dance floor after that boring european lover's night of yesterday. Classico was packed like I hadn't seen.
Sara went after 2 Brits, and I saw a light skin, blond dyed hair chick in a corner. A puerto plata girl for a change. She looked a bit hardcore for my taste, but I did not mind a pro after a series of cupid chicks. She performed good enough, with an energetic blowjob, even if she cut foreplay short to pull me in. She simply was getting excited as a distinctive smell quickly filled the room. Asked to rest her legs on my shoulders, stopperage-style. Smell grew stronger as I was thrusting deeper and deeper. So much that at one point I checked if I was not in the wrong hole. Or the right hole, depending on your taste. Took advantage of the break to squeeze a cushion to raise her back and see if I could reach her cervix. Not sure if I did, but now I had the grunting to go with the smell. Service was worth the agreed upon 1, 500 pesos, but no tip as I didn't like her mistrustful personality.
Didn't feel like sleeping, so headed to AfterOne Shortly before 4am. Plan was to find a sweet and caring Haitiana for the rest of the night. Saw Peligro Dancing, the ultra-sweet Sosua-born super-slim girl I spent my last night with in July. She was looking even better this time with new reddish highlights and an ultra tight jean."I am with my boyfriend" she said shyly, waving at a baby-faced white dude at a table, who clearly was not at his first beer of the night. But Peligro is definitely not the kind of girl who would jump ship, so I went sulking on the high benches of AfterOne, looking at Peligro from afar.
Joanna Came to sit down next to me to cheer me up. I was more intent on continuing sulking, but Johanna is a very cheerful, trustworthy super-pro that I've slept with a couple of time. She started teasing me. Even went to talk to Peligro about my unquenched love. At least it resulted in Peligro granting me a smile and coming to dance closer to my bench. Joanna came back to mock me."I think you need some tenderness and to smoke right now". Always listen to female wisdom. Took Joanna to have one of these giant chicken soups at Caipirinha And finished the night (well, the morning) with her. Joanna plays fair, works hard, and always friendly. Got DFK and a 30min blowjob. Just what I needed. Felt asleep a happy man.
Sunday. Graduating from Monger's boot-camp.
Went to see the 49ers demolish the NY Jet at Rumba, in front of a stunned mostly-newyorker crowd. I had asked Sara (ordered actually) To come along. She was more interested in checking the Gringos than watching the match of course. Somehow I knew she would not find anybody of her liking there. She is as picky as me. At 4pm Sara left to a friend's birthday party at the beach. Since I was not invited, easy to figure out what kind of friend that was.
Saw Rihanna Alone and offered her a beer. She became warmer and funnier as I showed her increasing interest. To be precise, as my hand was venturing deeper under her skirt under the outdoor table. I was about to invite her for a shower, when my phone rang. Frank, the monger I met the day before, told me to come to an outdoor party in Montellano. I sang farewell to Rihanna, having a second though as I was smelling my fingers, and hit the road.
Frank and his friends were blasting music across the main triangular plaza of Montellano, out of speakers located in the back trunk of a car. I had seen such a street setting in Puerto Plata On my second trip. But this time what was happening all came out naturally. Within minutes I was walking around, making eyes contact. It was all instinctive. Dominicanas decide quickly this kind of things. And so many girls for the taking. Offered a drink to a young mum who was clearly looking for a boyfriend, joked with 2 white chicks who were chasing some wallets, danced with a teen waiting to fall in love, all around and around this wonderfully "triangulito" plaza.
I had new soul-reading, defense-busting powers. I had just progressed from "intermediate" to "advanced" at MongerVille.
As I was pouring yet another Presidente Grande to a group of young mums with cradles, Frank approached me."There is somebody I want to introduce you to". He was flanked with a gorgeous negrita. Estefani Was totally my sweetspot : tall. 19yo, long braided hairs, expressive faces with sensual lips, lemon-shape tits defying gravity, ultra flat stomach, thin waist, endless legs. I felt like a kid in front of a cookie jar. Could not wait to open hers.
"I can really have her?" I asked incredulously to Frank. No more going around the plaza, and I went in a corner to play with my new toy and her friends.
Lisbeht Chose that moment to show up. She is a gorgeous teen I had met on DominicanCupid before my very first trip, and seen regularly ever since. She lives in Montellano and I had stupidly left her a message when driving from Sosua telling her I'll be in town.
The minute Lisbeth and Estefani looked at each other, you could feel the tension between these two towering beauties. I had my hands all over Estefani's body, to be fair. At 5 feet 10, with waist-long thick hair and a german stature, Lisbeth nearly made Estefani look small. I quickly stepped between the 2 girls, and motioned Lisbeht away to a bar the other side of the plaza. Not too many things that some sweet talking and a 500 pesos banknote cannot solve in the D. R. One hour later I was dropping Lisbeht at her parent's place with a long, romantic french kiss in the car. One last "I love you too", and Estefani was all mine.
Frank left with one of Estefani's friend, and I drove Estefani and her other friends back to Sosua. Managed to catch a good meal at Rickis Before closing. Rickis is my favorite eateary on Pedro Clisante. Estefani explained she did some time in Sosua, but was turn off by cut-throat competition there. She is still doing occasional sex gigs in Puerto Plata. She was hugging me romantically at Rumba, while showing me photo of her sex on her iPhone.
After Rumba, Estefani sent her friend home with a 100 pesos bill. She is clearly a keeper. Started a night of love like I had few. Estefani turned out to be a piece of sweetness who loves sex. Doesn't get better than that. Non-stop kissing, multiple positions, skilled blowjob for a girl her age with ball licking. By sunrise, she was still rubbing non stop on my legs, grunting as my finger got deeper in her anus. Or when I was biting her nipple hard.
As I finally tried to get some sleep, she came cuddling on my chest like a kitty about to sleep. I thought about postponing my return flight.
But I didn't of course. Once again, reality called back and I dropped Estefani back in Montellano on my way to Santiago Airport in the morning. We stayed kissing for ages in the car."You'll be back soon? And you'll meet my parents?".
Some local kids were washing my windshield for the 20th time in 4 days, while I was stuck in Puerto Plata's bustling morning traffic. I waved at a cute chick on the back of a motoconcho. She smiled back. The light turned to green.
I was out of Monger boot-camp.

Fifth trip to the north coast a few days ago. I operate mostly by instinct now. Much more enjoyable that way. (reposting from the wrong forum. Kind of)

If you are curious about the tortuous path that took me there, my previous reports are at:

Are they pros or semi?
I met this old Dominican dude that seemed like their pimp. He was trying to hook me up with one of them.
I gave him the slip because I hate to deal with third parties when it comes to chicas.
PS. Also didn't feel like waiting until 3 am for the girl's shift to finish

I had my first trip to DR on Sept 28th to Oct 2nd. I am going to post some stuff that would help mostly newbies like me because although I did RTFF, you have to go through many pages to piece together some good info. If there was a sticky post...Congrats on posting such a useful FR. Anybody who is new and wanting to visit DR will find your FR invaluable.

"Semi- a combining form borrowed from Latin, meaning “half.”" I have never seen a woman who was half of or almost a prostitute. If you want to know if they will have sex for money then the answer is yes. Like you said the 3am thing does suck and as always secure your price and time.

I love your reports. Your humor is fantastic. When you say smoke are talking weed. You can be my road dog anytime. I love the way you roll and keep drama in your roll. I think our approaches are very close. I like to have relationships with the chica I bang even the putas. Just makes thing much more fun. I am hoping for a road trip in 3 or 4 weeks. I have cupid girls and non pros waiting for me. I think I may be over booked. What can you do.I like the reports too but I think I'll minimize the drama involved. It's bad enough that it's in a 3rd world country full of corruption but add to it a foreign language (at least for me). So no relationships whatsoever for me when I'm down there!
For me the DR is the most fun I have. Banging sexy 20 something is as good as it gets. So work at my hobby. I taught my self spanish and talk to ladies online. It is much more fun then TV. Every now and then I see some T&A on skype. I am loving it. Part of having game is enjoying a little drama, However I know some guys are looking a quick nut. To each his own.

Like you said the 3am thing does suck and as always secure your price and time.In the DR there are lots of women who have full time jobs other than prostitution who may be available for sexual relationships (short or long term) for money, especially at times when they need it. This is not quite the same thing as women who are full time prostitutes working in places like La Passion or casas de cita, or just hanging round bars looking for customers.
Read the nineteenth century pornographic classic My Secret Life by "Walter" to see how he distinguishes between sex with servant girls and sex with prostitutes. Incidentally the word he uses for prostitutes is "gay". To him any woman who had already experienced sex was probably up for some dick if the right economic incentives were present.

This is not quite the same thing as women who are full time prostitutes working in places like La Passion or casas de cita, or just hanging round bars looking for customers. And how is it not the same thing? Both women you describe are available for short or long term sexual relationships in exchange for money. The definition of a prostitute is not dependent on where or how often one does it. Whether it be the street corner or the playboy mansion, twice per year or three times daily, the spade remains a spade. You can't dress it up with bullshit to make it seem better.
I'm a carpenter by trade, but I don't do that everyday anymore. I have a different regular job now and only do carpentry on the side every now and then. Are you telling me that I am no longer a carpenter, but a semi-carpenter now?

Are you telling me that I am no longer a carpenter, but a semi-carpenter now?Sounds like an occasional carpenter to me. It's all semantics. To me the following looks plausible:
Full time. Town streets or joints 24/7.
Semi. Social sites girls.
Part time. Weekday warriors from other parts of the country coming into town for couple of days.
Quatro pro. Students, 'beeper' girls etc.
Occasional. Anyone else accepting gifts from time to time, including salaried bar girls

Are you telling me that I am no longer a carpenter, but a semi-carpenter now?You can use logical arguments to prove your point. But I think you will agree that there are 2 types of girls available in Sosua clubs:
1) Semi-pros: who are sometimes shy and will hang out with a female friend for company. These are the ones who will be quite genuinely delighted when you offer to buy them a drink. They will remind you of girls who work in supermarkets and dress a little moderately. These girls are borderline GFE material.
2) Pros: These are the putas. These you can detect in a room and there is no mistaking them. They will do all sorts of antics to be the center of attention. Such as bouncing that ass, shouting, wildly waving to some friend at the other side of the room and when all that fails they may even grab your dick to get your attention. These women will not sit down with you to slowly sip their drink but will are trying to catch a customer and bargain like hell.
But you are right. They are all women who sell their bodies and youth to feed themselves. Not too different from you and me. We offer our minds, bodies, time and youth to corporations.

I read that it's pretty straight forward to take a publico (public taxi) from Sosua to POP airport at a cost much lower than private taxis. I have to go from POP to Blackbeard's and then after two nights stay, on to Sosua. Has anyone ever taken the publico successfully through these particular routes without much complications? I figure that the potential cost savings can easily pay for 2-3 sessions with the chicas.

The girls who have other full time jobs will probably provide more of a gateway into the wider society and may be of more interest to those who have gotten bored with basic brothel and street prostitution.

Are you telling me that I am no longer a carpenter, but a semi-carpenter now?I would say it depends on how the culture defines it. I think the general attitude in the DR is more accepting of the idea of women trading sex for favors and more willing to see that as a matter of degrees rather than yes or no. Are you a carpenter if you know a lot about woodworking and exchange favors with other people? If somebody once gave you money rather than oweing you a favor? Your example is rather like a chica who worked in a casa then quit and tried to do other work plus a little freelancing. Many chicas never made a living at it but like getting presents and being treated well and are pretty flexible especially about dating older guys and extranjeros. Like a guy with some power tools and basic skills who would consider doing a carpentry job if asked but hasn't much paid experience. Is he a carpenter? What about trying to get a another job or a promotion by volunteering to fix your boss's deck? Chica's having to provide sex to get or keep a job is a pretty everyday thing in the DR. There are a lot of guys with basic carpentry skills and tools that if somebody came along with a $40 / hr job offer would be happy to take it. Are they carpenters?

A publico runs from Sosua pass the airport to downtown Puerto Plata. You transfer to the J-C publico to go to Costambar. You can walk from the gate to Blackbeards (as I do) or take a moto.Assuming your luggage is easily portable of course. It's a significant walk from the terminal out to the road. You may hit publicos that are too packed to take you and luggage (not that they won't try to stuff you in). It's definitely cheaper to pay double for the whole front seat of a publico for you and minimal luggage than taking a taxi. It's also a significant walk from the gate to BB's but as the Professor said there are motos waiting. It might rain on you. OTOH you are getting quick immersion in the real DR.

PS. Also didn't feel like waiting until 3 am for the girl's shift to finishI used to have a thing for waitresses like many here so I used to go with them from time to time. I don't know if they are Semi but they can just be more selective while waiting. I have seen some of the waitresses working in Passions, hell I even saw one working in Cristals in PP in the past so you are not always getting something special if you dont know better and its not as much of a chase as you would think. To be honest I stopped doing it because it is a pain in the ass. You have to wait for them to get off late at 3:00am as stated and then sometimes they want to run home real quick which makes it even later. Once the waitress had something come up at 2:30am and couldn't make it, complete BS I know, but somewhat fucked up my night planning around her. Once you get them they are like any other chica some good, some bad. But the big negative is that the next time you roll into the bar you have a girl eyeballing your ass all night. I final realized I leave the US to get away from having to plan and depend on a girl and the crap that goes along with it, to many other fun girls in town.
By the way for those that dont know a lot of times you can buy the waitress out early from the bar, fairly expensive and the money goes to the bar so I have found that there is little to no negotiation, the earlier the more expensive, not worth it IMO but an option.
I'm hitting Sosua for the first time this year in November and I'm looking forward to the strip being closed to traffic like they do in Boca Chica.

Two weeks ago, entrepreneurs of the Pedro Clisante street got together. They decided to set up the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Pedro Clisante. The objective is to try to make (in collaboration) the Pedro Clisante more attractive to the public. Last Tuesday 2 October the association had a meeting with mayor Ilana Neumann. This was a very positive meeting where the mayor promised full cooperation.
Pedro Clisante.
There were many topics discussed, but the main thing was the plan to close the main street Pedro Clisante at weekends (as a test) for traffic. The Pedro Clisante will be closed for traffic from Friday to Sunday from 6 pm until the next morning. This applies to the area between the Happy Bar and the Bermuda Bar (Fat Herman). This experiment should start in November. If the street is closed to motorized traffic, the restaurant owners can extend their terraces into the street. Visitors can then undisturbed by noise and exhaust fumes enjoy their dishes. Furthermore, more activities will be organized, including performances by musicians (classical, jazz, blues).
The board of the association consists of the owners of the Merenguebar, Bar el Flow, Schnitzel Paradise Restaurant, Restaurant Tipico Alberto and Fashion Shop Damaris. It is expected that other entrepreneurs will join the association.

I get the sense that another "pre-cleansing" is shortly on the horizon.

I've been to Sosua twice, in February and August / September 2011, for many weeks in total. I'll be coming back to the DR for a month this December. I was wondering if this is a good month to visit the country and Sosua in particular? I think I'll prefer the weather there in December, less sticky than last time I was there in August / September. What is the mongering scene like there over Christmas and the new year though, does it become pretty dead?
I've been reading back many pages, trying to get a handle on how Sosua is these days, if it has changed much since I was last there? That proposal to close Pedro Clisante to traffic seems like a good idea. From what I can gather on these pages, it does not seem to have got any more dangerous than when I was there, and it seems the mongering scene has picked up there somewhat since I was there last September. I hope so, because then it wasn't great to be honest! Early during the week back then the bars were pretty quiet. These days, when the chicks walk from one bar to another, are they still getting harassed as much by the cops and at risk of arrest than they were a year ago?
On the website of the CMP nightclub they have a link to Victorian house hotel (previously of Sosua Bay beach club). However I thought this whole place was shut down, can anyone enlighten me about this? By the way, are all those ladies on their website for real and available, seems a bit good to be true somehow! Sorry there is no feedback on my post, hopefully in a few months I'll have some interesting new posts to add.

I am surprised that nobody has commented yet on D'Latin. Opened about two weeks ago on the site of the old Hess house and its the bomb, as far as impacting the Sosua scene goes.
On a Saturday night at 12 am: Merengue Bar, basically empty; Classico. 8 people; Bar Central, no girls, just a few old Germans; formerLatinos, forget it; El Flow, forget it, too; Rumba, ok.
After 10 or 11 pm, basically everybody is at D'Latin.

On the website of the CMP nightclub they have a link to Victorian house hotel (previously of Sosua Bay beach club). However I thought this whole place was shut down, can anyone enlighten me about this? By the way, are all those ladies on their website for real and available, seems a bit good to be true somehow! Sorry there is no feedback on my post, hopefully in a few months I'll have some interesting new posts to add.If you're concerned with the weather, I will tell you that November / early December is generally the rainiest time of the year. I was there last year during that time, and it was ridiculous. It literally
rained medium to really heavy for five straight days. I take my trips as much for sunny, nice weather as for chicas, so I definitely wouldn't go back around that time.
I've also been there over New Year's and I didn't think it was too bad. A bit less chicas than normal, but still plenty available. Passions and CMP closed on NY day itself, but open
and fully staffed all other days.
How is the scene in Sosua these days?Good to be careful. Seems like Haitians are still killing tourists. http://dominicanwatchdog.org/dominican_news/page-US_man_killed_in_his_home_in_Sosua%2C_Dominican_Republic

%2C_Dominican_RepublicMay have been Haitians. More likely to have been Dominicans. Most crimes are blamed on Haitians. If they do turn out to have been by Haitians there is continued publicity. If by Dominicans, the case quietly disappears from the news. Dominicans are often afraid to give evidence against other Dominicans for fear of reprisals so blaming Haitians makes an easy "wrap-up" for the police as they know there will be no case by the defence and it keeps the locals happy. Also few Haitians carry guns. They are expensive and would attract immediate attention whereas Dominicans carrying guns is routine.
Most "professional" Haitian criminals in the DR are known to, and work under the direction of, the Dominican police who are able to blackmail them into doing stuff if they are illegals and control who they rob and assault and who not. That is, they don't let them hit anyone with influence which might provoke an investigation. Any Haitians who won't play ball are killed or deported.
A separate issue is it sounds like the victime were ex-pats rather than tourists so there may be more to the back story than just straight robbery.
One thing for sure in all these cases is that, while it is fun to speculate, we are very unlikely to ever learn the whole truth, and certainly not from gossip websites, w ho reboards, or local free newspapers.

Anybody know whether this is a waste of time or are the girls willing to sleep with you if you show them a good time? Chatting with a young hottie but not sure if I should change my plans to a hotel in Puerto Plata for one night instead of searching Sosua. Thinking maybe she can show me around the waterfalls etc and might get lucky later on.
Anybody have any good experiences with this website?
Is it better just to hire a couple of hoes for the day to take swimming to the falls or can you not trust them one iota? Fairly open question but I'm interested to know mongers experiences.
Would like to see some of the island and preferably with a hot chica whos not going to rob me.

Lovely storytelling, enjoyed the smooth read. Do you actually write down all those names? I for one, would have trouble remembering them otherwise. LOL.Yes. I always ask for the girls' phone number and / or facebook and / or MSN.
And I do write a few lines in my phone about the encounter right after. Not different from what I would do after a regular date, or even a business meeting, actually.
to all: Thanks for the feedback on the report. Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes, I had very good experience with Dominican Cupid.
The girls you are going to meet there are all over the map, though. From the pregnant single mum desperate for a boyfriend, to the older sosua puta using it for marketing purposes. My favorite cupid chick, an ultra photogenic teen, uses extensively DominicanCupid to find foreigners willing to wire her money. That's her job, of sort.
As a general rule, Dominicanas expect some courtship. Since I only spend short trips in DR, I use DominicanCupid to pre-select girls and initiate courtship. This takes real work, though. I like the hunt and I like the development of a real romantic relationship. I am not too aggressive in taking the cupid chicks I like to bed. More often than not, I take a Cupid Date back home with a kiss, and drive to Sosua for sex & partying till dawn.
This works perfectly for me.

Does this place have a cover charge? Where is it located in relation to Classico and Rumba? This place does not have a cover charge. It is located across from bar Central or right next to rumba bar heading towards classico and it is the place to be right now.

I have had several cupid girls and they have all been excellent. My girls did not live in SD. I invited them to come to SD to be with me. This means we are in the same room with one bed do the math. Like sammy says I spend time courting online. In most cases I see them naked online before they show up. When we meet we are friends and it is on. I bring toys and lube and never had any push back. You have a real girlfriend which is awesome. Here some of my cupid babes.
