It should be easy. Here are a couple of options:

Sukhumvit is the main road (like a big avenue) and the Soi(s) are the streets that lead to this avenue. You can find more info on Mick's maps ;)

Well, I been to all those places, Bangkok and Singapore multilple times and its simple: If you want (some) culture, sight seeing, interesting food and a slice of Asia, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok will do that just fine. If you like it nice and clean (but a bit sterile) then Singapore is definitely the place. BUT, if you are here for the reason why we are all here, good lord man, no question: Bangkok, Bangkok, Bangkok!

Trust me, you will find action in Singapore, but its more expensive, more limited and a bigger pain in the ass. KL is veeeery limited and you will find more lady boys than actual girls, but Bangkok will keep you busy allll day and night and the choice of women will be endless! And although yes, its gotten more expensive, its still cheaper than those other two options.

If you're considering Pattaya as your one spot, then it means you're interested in the one particular thing Pattaya has to offer. Bangkok and Pattaya are both far and away better than those other spots for that. Yes Bangkok and Pattaya are both 'similar' in that they both have an overwhelming amount of that on offer, and you can't really go wrong with either. For a trip that short, I'd just pick one and stick with it. Gives you time to get a bit familiar with the terrain.

Also, I'd suggest reading the BKK and PTY forums here because the veterans get impatient with new people who come on asking basic questions and say they have no time to read the forum. Now that you've narrowed the scope to Thailand, it should make your research easier.

I think the concensus would be Thailand over Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. Both Bangkok and Pattaya have alot to offer, and Thai women are far superior to other Asian women - IMHO. Wendella also offers great advice about searching the forum.

However do not underestimate Singapore: one night Geylang can be heaven.
Another thing in Singapore: you also find plenty of other Asian ladies, not only Thais.

firstly, a great thank you to everyone who's shared some info in the forums. i learnt a great deal here and i used most of it to figure out the rest when i was there. a little walking around and general exploration got me a long way. so once again, thanks a whole bunch. alot of info here made my bangkok trip better than it would've been.

when we arrived, we of course were interested in getting a nice soapy massage and something of the sort to help us unwind from the flight.

we were staying on wireless road so off we went to the ploen chit bts station.. and we decided to do abit of exploration.

i've read quite abit about the nana entertainment complex and nana hotel so while i was on the bts, i saw us passing by the nana hotel. off at the nana station and we had to back track abit and turn left into a soi.

first impressions.. nep from the outside was rather "dodgy" looking and at approx 4pm, everything was just starting to get together for the evening. its a wooden looking structure of sorts with drinking joints all over and we didnt wander in as we were not up for any drinks.

so we continued with our exploration and we got into the bts, went to the asoke station and interchanged to the mrt to get to poseidon.

i didnt initially know about the "fishbowl" on the 1st floor but it seems that the ladies there are all on the lower end of the scale where the 3rd floor were the model type women, or so they said. :)

so we headed up to the 3rd floor, took our pick and went further upstairs to a moderately sized hotel looking room with a tub. all in all the experience was rather mechanical but essentially, i when shes washing you up and you're lying down there.. i found it rather hard not to look at her and if she looked back at you, it would be rather awkward. i found it hard to fall asleep too so that was quite interesting for me being a first time trying a soapy massage in bangkok.

everything else was very mechanical as well and i noticed that in bangkok, most of these soapy massage places will give you a cbj instead of a bbbj which is quite common in kl or singapore. dont take this the wrong way. im not complaining, in fact i normally ask for it to be safe but i found it quite interesting.. but once again, could be the girls individual prerogative.

all in all, poseidon was nothing to shout about. mediocre service, mediocre looking girls, high price at approx 4500bht for the high end girls and average room.

then that night, we had our dinner and we headed out to dinner in a nice korean restaurant on soi 57 or 59 sukhumvit. very nice and good korean bbq! ill try to dig up the location again on my garmin gps and ill post it here if i find it. really good food.

from there we headed to ekkamai and to a joint called jet.

first things first.. wow is there alot of nice cars! amazing.

there are alot of beautiful young thai women/girls, maybe university students, or young graduates, but just like anywhere else in the world, you need to spend time, conversational efforts and etc to pick these girls up and alot of them come with their group of friends and maybe even boyfriend so in my opinion, it was rather gray and we ended up meeting 1 girl with her gay friend but that was it.

no action for the night. one of my friends which has been living in bkk for quite abit mentioned that action was easier to secure at cm2 in novotel for girls of this age/type/look etc?

next day, we headed down to rca with the girl we met at the jet.

she had about 7 - 8 friends with her, all girls and damn were they beautiful. all around 21, 22 or thereabouts. we got ourselves 2 bottles of whiskey and begun drinking.. the thai girls really know how to party.. and the thing is they insisted on paying for their own drinks as well.. they just kept ordering more and more when they finished theirs and they wouldnt let us pay. i found that quite odd but heck, im not complaining. once again, no action that night as there was a general communication barrier and they had guy friends coming up, chatting with them now and again and generally didnt seem conducive.

so the next day we went to amsterdam. i will definitely recommend this place over poseidon. the overall atmosphere when you enter is much better, easier to select the ladies too as opposed to poseidon where i had to look across a damn concert hall. (figure of speech). ;)

and i found that the m (model) range girls here which were slightly cheaper are as good looking as the sm (super model) ones in poseidon.

the rooms were also much better with a roman sort of theme, better cleanliness, a toilet bowl which i remember not seeing in poseidon.

all in all, a much better experience all around.

better women, better ambience, better cleanliness but i cant say much for the location. it took us a long time mustering up the courage to cross the intersection from the opposite corner especially at 5.30pm.

then for our final night intown, we decided to go to the pent.

first impressions, a nice more quiet executive club with a live band.

we picked our women, which was rather easy because we asked for girls which could speak english. there was 2 of us, and there were 3 who could speak english so it was a rather easy choice. if language was no problem, there was a further 50 or so girls waiting.. time to learn some thai methinks.

membership is not required but since we knocked back 2 bottles of whiskey in the first hour, and membership is 20,000 bht and gives you 9 bottles of whiskey, we might as well take the membership.

cheaper all in all if we were to drink that much liquor.

so it was a fun night beginning infront of the liveband, with alot of drinks, dice games and then progressing to the disco type room next to the pool for some dancing and even more drinking.

we wanted to bring the girls back with us, considering we stayed rather nearby, on the same road, wireless road, but nope.

they didnt even seem the least interested. it was rather "do you want to follow me back?" and the answer was always noo maybe next time, i dont think so. no chance to even talk about price.

so that was not happening but it was an interesting experience. ive read here that pegasus is also similar but the girls will most definitely be ok with going back?

so this wraps up my first mongering trip to bangkok! i had heaps of fun and i always look forward to going back..

just wanted to ask about a couple of things i wasnt able to figure out when i was there.

1. clubs: with clubs like on rca or the jet on ekkamai, there are alot of beautiful young girls. most of them i have to assume are not "working" ladies right? but in the event that you befriend one of them and you get along, are the chances of a one night stand high or even anything more than that? they just seem so awfully friendly that night but they didnt indicate that they would follow us back, nor did they allow us to pay for anything they consumed which really contradicts my perception.

2. executive clubs: the pent was a rather hit and miss sort of thing. ive heard some people hit with relative amounts of success. maybe pegasus would be a better try next time? but i need to go back and finish that 6 bottles of whiskey.

any other suggestions for these kinds of places?

all in all, it was an awesome trip. really didnt want to leave, and now that ive left, really cant wait to be back there again with my mates.

If you took the total number of girls who are in the farang-oriented scene in BKK, which would include Sukhumvit area (NP, SC, Thermae, Angels, Soi 33, Biergarten, etc etc and including the farang-oriented massages and also FLs) plus Patpong and I guess CM2 ought to be included as well... and that was your total number for Bangkok...

and then did the same thing in Pattaya and totaled up all the go-gos and beer bars, massages and FL's in the farang scene down there....

What would you guesstimate those 2 totals would add up to?

My suspicion is that including the beer bars of Pattaya puts it way over the top in total numbers, but that's a lot of chaff in the pile of wheat, so it's unfairly inflated numbers for PTY possibly.

I'm surprised there aren't 'census' estimates for these scenes.

not many posters find the high priced "models" at poseidon to be worth the extra money. i personally don't think they are significantly better looking than the downstairs cheaper girls, but may be younger and probably a good figure is a must.
normally we recommend nataree at half the price although poseidon is more high class. probably you wouldn't like the nataree rooms. personally i have had incredibly good experiences at utopia which is very classy.
poseidon seems a little past its prime.

not many posters have found a great experience at amsterdam, including myself, so if you had a good one, a few more details about the girl would be appreciated.

I am going back to LOS after 5 long years and was looking for some updated info. I will be arriving late on a Sunday night. Was thinking after a long series of flights that a soapie might do me good. The term "coyote" originated at the Coyote Ugly Saloon, which opened in New York City in 1993. The term spread all over the world after the release (in 2000) of the successful movie with the same name. The movie made the the concept of coyote dancers very popular.

In the NYC Coyote Ugly bar, the term at first referred to female BARTENDERS (not dancers) who sometimes got up on the bar and danced or sang or did magic tricks, acrobatics, all sorts of stunts, including flashing their tits, to get the customers to buy drinks. The concept was hugely successful and many U.S. bars rushed to take advantage of it. The problem was that relatively few women were cut out to be coyote bartenders and it was difficult meet demand. In time, some U.S. bars went for a hybrid form - "coyote dancers," i.e., girls who danced on the bar but weren't bartenders. They were sexy, although they didn't show much bare skin.

HOWEVER, and it's a big however, the term means different things in different places. In Thailand, it's supposed to mean dancers who are so good-looking that they don't have to dance naked, topless or even in bikinis. Keep in mind that TGs in general - and even BGs - find it humiliating to dance naked (or near naked). In the end, they'll do what they have to do to support their families, but they hate "unclothed" dancing. One coyote, who used to dance at Angel Witch, told me that the customers she pulls as a coyote treated her better than the customers she had as a go go dancer.

BTW, Coyote Ugly was the title of a play from the early 1980s about a grotesque family in Arizona, pure Southwestern white trash. The slang term "coyote ugly" refers to the feeling of waking up after a one night stand and discovering that you are beside someone who is so physically repulsive that you would gladly gnaw off any of your limbs that he or she is sleeping on just so you can get away without being discovered. Coyotes, when caught in a trap, will chew off their paws to get away.

It's the customers, not the bartenders, who are coyote ugly. It's also a very appropriate image for 90% of the foreign male visitors to Thailand.

The figure that is often given for Pattaya is 30,000 to 40,000. That's based on 3,000 registered bars and 10 to 13 girls in each bar, depending on the season. Some go go and hostess bars have many more girls than 10, but alot of beer bars have less than 10, so someone's "best guesstimate" put the figure around ten per bar as the average. There are a few hundred girls working in MPs and as total free-lancers (i.e., they aren't employed by a bar), but that isn't a big part of the Pattaya scene. A few years ago, the police chief of Pattaya estimated the number at 50,000, but he was referring to peak season around Christmas and New Year.

The figure for Bangkok is much more difficult to estimate with any degree of accuracy, not the least because the city proper has a population of 6.7 million. Guesstimates for the number of P4P providers who cater to male visitors from abroad vary from 80,000 to 200,000. In Bangkok, there is a huge "Thai only" scene that's lacking in Pattaya, but also a lot of crossover between the Thai and foreign-visitor P4P scenes. Last time I was in the Beer Garden, I met a woman who works nights at a Thai place on the outskirts of Bangkok, but comes into the Beer Garden during the day when she needs extra money. And in Bangkok, there are more "occasional" WGs, but not nearly as many as in the imagination of some punters. Most "occasionals" were once full-time P4P providers but then got married or found straight jobs, yet backslide from time to time, depending on their need for fast cash.

Keep in mind these estimates are for the number of women working in P4P on any given day. Over the course of a month or a year, many more women will pass through the scene, but they won't all be working at the same time. A lot of TGs try P4P a short time, hate it and never go back. Others may devote a few months a year to working in P4P to earn money, but spend the rest of the time with their families in their villages.

Reading Kenster's post started me thinking. About three years ago, I tried Amsterdam and went with a very attractive young woman with a pretty face and model-like figure. Rajah Hotel for Eastern European. I did a Turkish girl and Russian CIS girl on my last trip in 2007. Service levels and enthuasim were low and they seemed very unhappy. This trip I did not partake. I'm not sure I follow why you think it's impossible. BKK Dreaming was asking how many guys there were, and how many girls, not how often they engage in the act -- whether they go 2, 3, 4, 5 or more times per night, each person still only counts as a single person on either side of the equation. And if you want to consider their activity, the vast majority would be engaging in the act one-on-one, so if you're concerned that this eliminates girls from the equation, well, it also eliminates one guy each of those times, so they cancel each other out.

I think for our purposes, Evil Pinevil's approach is 'good enough' for our needs. Just trying to get a basic idea.

This is not a problem really as long as you are up for it and it would not come close to a record.
I would not get to 21 personally partly because I have a bad habit :) of wanting to screw the same girl more than once.

But a morning screw, and afternoon session an evening session and a late session adds up to 4 a day if you have the stamina.

If you get behind, i would suggest going to "Star of light" and choose 2, 3 or even 4 girls to take to a nearby short time Hotel and have them all in rotation. I have taken multiple girls also at Eden and at Suzie Wong bar in Soi Cowboy. You need to choose girls that like working with each other.

Farang is the generic Thai word for a foreigner of European ancestry. We get charged more for visiting museums, etc because (a) we haven't contributed to their upkeep through taxes (Thai people would argue), and (b) because we are generally richer and can afford it.

Thanks for all, I will be in bangkok for four days and will put my first hand report here. I want to find a place for this body rub (Thai Massage?), and then some FS. I would also like to be able to do room service to a local hotel, unless you guys don't reccomned this method.

As you surmised, the term farang does refer to foreigners and as Mouse1 explained, those of European ancestry. I'm Asian American, and I have never been charged the farang surcharge. I'm seen as Asian and the fact that I could have been born in Europe or the U.S. does not enter the pricing equation. I know there's a lot of theories on this (could fill a book), but why bother. It is what it is, and as silly a policy as it is, it won't change until it starts to cost them too much money.

The Sideline girls and Models, are those girls outside the fishbowls sitting on the seats against the wall or on couches, or in the in-house lounge/bar area. They command a higher price. I think you need to decide yourself, whether there's a real difference or not. In theory, they are higher in demand due to looks or "abilities", but often times that may not hold true. The models have posed in men's magazines in Asia, but most guys would not know the difference.

Many of the "old" girls and that's a relative term, since we are talking about 30 year olds, are priced at a discount and I have had great times with some of these ladies. The Escort services tend to charge 6,000 baht for the same girl you could get from a massage parlor for about 2,000 baht. The massage parlor will charge you the going massage rate (between 600 baht and 1,300 baht .. approximately), based on the amount of time you need (generally 60, 90 and 120 minutes). The girl will ask for between 1,500 and 3,000 baht for her services. That's "ask". The going rate for FS is 1,500 baht.

Most of the girls who ask for 3,000 baht will most often settle for 1,500 to 2,000 baht, so just keep this in mind. The same holds true in all of the bars these days. In Nana Plaza (NEP), Soi Cowboy, Patpong, etc. it's not unusual to have these girls ask for 3,000 baht or 4,000 baht and then quickly drop to 2,000 baht when you laugh or walk. They take their chances that you may be a newbie and accept the initial offer.

The hotels often have an in-house "Spa". Some legit, many with girls willing to offer "extra" services. Very hit and miss, though, and most of the massage parlors have better pickings IMHO. Plus, having the pics on the websites, offers you a chance to choose one to your liking.

The rates include the room, except for room upgrades, which will cost you extra. All kinds of rooms and all kinds of girls, so work that out when you get there. Too many pricing options at the Soapy's, to remember. There are places like Colonze 2 which start at around 1,700 or 1,800 baht all inclusive. I think the bottom end girls at Poseidon are 2,300 baht all inclusive and sideline girls were at 2,800 all inclusive. A few hundred baht tip is a nice gesture, if you like the performance. The basic rooms are fine at Poseidon and a little smallish at Nataree. I can understand wanting to upgrade, if you only have two days. Enjoy it!

You may want to check out Utopia, rather than Poseidon. I think Poseidon is sliding in quality and Utopia really has some nice talent. Of course Utopia has a steep farang surcharge, but if you are willing to spend, it would seem better to get the hotter girl than splurge on a better room. Something to think about. It's the same stop as Nataree, but you need to catch a cab. It's within walking distance of the Huai Kwang or Cultural Center stops, but you won't know which direction to go or how to find it. Best to find a cabbie who knows where it is.

Not sure of the designations at Nataree, but they have girls starting at 2,000 baht all inclusive up to about 3,800 baht all inclusive. Don't get Paranoid! (if that is the right word?).
Film and Rita may not be to your taste but do not look suspicious and we know that these places do not hire lady boys.

Your post seems to indicate you are allowing yourself to get distracted by matters that just are not important.

Lady Boys? Special Rooms? furniture? Models at Nataree etc.? Please concentrate on finding girls that appeal to you.

ML hit it right on the head. In my years of traveling I have had good and bad experiences. The good far more than bad. The basic rule is MONEY TALKS.

As far as the bad goes it is more likely to do the physique. I am big and have a big pum pui. Some girls don't like that, but there are others who love to put their heads on it and sleep.

Being rejected because of color has been rare, but it does happen. E.g. in the Thermae where all the good looking ones are lined up to snag a few Japanese'.

A lot of Indians have a tendency to bargain. Which is fine except when you take it too far. Remember that the other party has eat as well. So pay going rates and give a tip if you were happy with the service. A few hundred bahts is not going to hurt you but mean a lot to them.

If you and the girl get along well, take her to dinner (roadside cafe's on Suk is good enough). Establish a rapport. Don't have to buy her gold either. Just being kind goes a long way. I have a few regulars who have helped me get great prices which I could never get on my own.

Take regular baths and wear nice clothes. Doesn't have to be tuxes, but in the evening don't wear shorts. Use good aftershave and colognes. Not the el cheapo ones.

Have respect for them and their cultures and you will get plenty in return. In my experience, once they like you they go out of their way to help.

i thought that this information might be useful as a warning more than anything about how easy it is to potentially be caught with an **** girl, no matter how experienced you are.

I went to BKK on business a few years ago. Had an awsome time. I tried a few MPs, they are awesome. Tip for newbies to Bangkok: The cabbies and hotel limo drivers get a cut of the action. You get better price if you walk in on your own. Just have the cabbies drive you to the general vicinity.

The term "tiger show" IMHO started in Malaysia and Singapore during the cabaret days in the late sixties and early seventies, when you had performers like Rose Chan and her troupe performing at the cabarets (Pertama Cabaret in KL) or at certain type of amusement parks. You will see them standing along the pavement from the begining of Lumpini Park fringe from Radjamdari Road onwards once you past Baan Ratchadamri which is on your left. Paid a visit to Bangkok last weekend and joint the army of Eden Club fans. Really, this place alone makes a trip to BK worthwhile!

At the beginning was confused by Soi 7/1 address and it took me some time to find this small Soi BETWEEN Soi 7 and Soi 9. Then, the club entrance was easy to spot. This is not their "desired" income levels, and so you will get what you pay for, which generally means you have sex, but thats about it.

Girls would prefer 1000B short time and 2000B long time, and obviously if you are not a cheap charlie, you negotiate this to your advantage. Eg tell the girl 500B short time, but if she really performs well you will give her 1000B. This allows you to pay in the 500B to 1000B range depending on performance.

This generally gets you "better quality sex". As she is getting more buck for the bang.

Has ginseng ever actually been tested to see how it measures up to these claims? Big claims + high price + no testing seems like a very beneficial formula for the seller, mainly. Anyway, I think this topic belongs in the ginseng forum. The most famous benefit is that it helps you live longer. I guess if you know how long you are going to live, then this would be testable. What could it possibly be based on? That's not included in this list of claims though. The aim on the website seems to be more "scientific": ginseng detoxifies alcohol, they say. Really? Actually, the 'Different strokes for different folks comment' is right on. There are some people who NEED to believe that they are accomplishing something great in G-clubs or hitting on TG's in department stores as opposed to bar girls. Why? I have no idea. Maybe the sex isn't as good with a hooker for them because of some psychological hangup. Then there are people like me-total horndogs who even after hundreds and hundreds of allnighters still get jelly-kneed when ANY good-looking babe's little ass pops out of her jeans.

It's always been different strokes for different folks. I can appreciate that some like the Go-Go bar scene, since there are no major surprises in terms of what you are getting physically. However, I don't think the girls in the Go-Go's have better bodies than the girls in any other type of venue. Just less guess work. The Soapy's, G-Clubs, Beer Bars, Oil Massage joints, etc. all have their share of incredible bodies and hot woman. They all have their pluses and minuses, but in the end, it's all good. I love the Go-Go's, but like variety too.

I will mix in G-Clubs, because they are fun. You get to meet some hot woman that you may not have seen, somewhere else. It does not matter where they worked before. Fact is, during any given visit, that girl may only have been found there. If you meet one gem, who cares where you found her or what you spent. As long as you had fun. No psychological hangups involved. I'm a total horndog too, so I like to mix it up. Oil massage, Beer Bar, Soapy, Go-Go, Soi 33 bar, Nightclub and G-Club. I have done the cycle many times in BKK and never regretted it. Keep in mind, you don't need to spend more than 3k baht to get phone numbers at a G-Club. After that, you meet up with the girl over the course of your vacation and return trips in some cases. Very small price to pay for more good times.

I think the best advice for any newbie is to try everything and find out for yourself. Every post is just one man's opinion and you eventually need to come up with your own, which is the only one that will count to you in the end. We all have preferences and you will need to find the places that meet yours.

Having said all of that, I would like to add, welcome to the BKK thread. The summary was a good idea. Maybe adding a few examples and some favorites, might be a nice addition too. I have been accumulating some notes to post, in line with your general idea. A bit of a work in progress. More in terms of venues first and a basic overview of some of the more well known examples along with websites when available. Some generalizations of the types of girls and as we all know, generalizations are always dangerous and full of holes. Just a starting point.

Damn, you're right -- it does say adjunctive, though "adjunctive" is an even stranger word choice. According to Webster:

"something joined or added to another thing but not essentially a part of it"

I'd treat the whole list not just as suspicious, but bogus. If it was actually effective in any of these things, drug companies would have isolated the active ingredients and turned them into a real drugs by now. Its not like ginseng is a secret they never heard of.

Half panicking and half thanking the powers of this world that I realized this young enough (I have no present commitments, etc...), I decided to take a chance and escape!

So here I am with my booked air-ticket in hand (since this morning), credit cards in pockets, and of course some cash to spend on the local talent.

Other than this forum which I spent the last 5 hours reading, starting from reports dated around February 2008 (yes i am lonely bust mostly want to make the most of my 5 day escapade in Bangkok), I know NOTHING of Thailand nor Bangkok. I therefore kindly ask you 3 days before my departure to fill in any of the missing info/gaps/enquiries mentioned below:

1) I am thinking of the Majestic Grande as my Headquarters there, but I am worried of the fact that they have only two elevators for 251 rooms (I don't want to be stuck in the lift with three girls wrapped in my arms, stopping at each floor with other guests feeling uncomfortable (families, children, etc...). I need a very clean (especially bed sheets and toilet) hotel with price range of max 3,500baht/night with good location near Sukhumvit. Any definitive suggestions in this regard? 2) I should be close to NEP, Soi Cowboy, and Patpong (reasonably), but I have heard good feedback on Pattaya. What's the best option to go there and how many days out of 5 should I spend there in your opinion, comparing it to Bangkok.

3) I have learned that social venues used to close at 1:00am since some years now but gradually some are staying open up to 2:00am... confirm? anything longer?

4) Soapies sound like a very attractive service, but different reports insinuate different additional services included. Is it rude to directly ask the management of the Parlor of what is included beforehand? is it strictly up to the chose lady? is FS "always" an option as long as the price is right?

The layout of the place elimates the elevator concerns and you can get a room for less than 3,500 baht.

I have stayed there on more than one occasion and can not wait to visit again.

I have never been to Pattaya yet. If this is your first visit and you have a limited number of days on this trip, like a week or less, then be careful about wasting time traveling to other areas, enjoy Bangkok!

I am not very experienced in BKK to answer all your questions, but I assure you age wise you will not have a problem. Maybe on Soi33, but otherwise it should be an asset. Just be a gentleman, and take resonable precautions. Whenever I travel I leave everything in the hotel safe, I only keep enough money in local currency in my pocket to cover twice the cost of any excursion I plan and the hotel key, thats it. Maybe my monger phone, or my N95 depending on circumstaces. Beware of guys (thai or foriegn) on the street or in a girlie bar who approaches you or tries to counsel you (it is too general a thing to say, but I have heard a few stories, better to be safe, in fact my first time was approached by a fairly young french guy as part of that one day only gem stone sale scam). I don't think it was NicF as far as I imagine!

There is a very extensive guide on massage parlors by micklicker in word format on these forums, as well as by giotto. Search for 'Soapy MP list. Doc'

There is also word document (I don't know exactly where, but a search should bring it up) by mick which is a table listing of all the massage parlors which makes a handy guide called 'Bangkok List of MPs with maps and web links' I have v2 and have used it often to see what is near or how to get to some place or price, etc.

The hotel thread has all the answers and first timers are well advised to stay at one of the already reviewed places. Haven't stayed at Majestic so could not tell you about being stuck in elevators or if they have an issue with three or four; I don't think there should be an issue. Am pretty sure some of the other monger friendly places such as Dynasty Grande would not have a problem. At your budget staying at Livingstones Lodge is also an option, especially since you are a newbie and though it is a bit far from NEP is a nice easy place to get off mongering in BKK with no issues, 'cause you know they cater to us.

For 5 days a trully committed horn dog monger would stay either only in BKK or Pattaya; experienced guys would know better, but picking up and moving just for mongering too much of a hassle. But, then again, I never travel light! So I tend to stick in one hotel. I mean you could wake up to a nice morning session with your overnighter, after breakfast head over to Eden for a porn star experience and appetite builder for lunch, rest, relax, shop, sight see a little and then go for a soapy or massage, and later hit the clubs after a nice dinner and this wouldn't get old over a period of 5 days.

Your first trip, especially to a new location, and such a nice touristy place like BKK does invoke the thought of having a beautiful Thai GFE for a long time period, especially to be a partner in sightseeing, eating, etc. But by my experience it is though to develop that your first time and in 5 days. The WGs we normally meet at these venues aren't exactly gf material most of the times, and don't get around much in BKK themselves, so are not great tour guides, as well their english skill vary widely. Also, why restrict yourself, because the girl is not exactly going to help you pick up additional chicks with whom to have fun with (which it seems to me is your prime goal), and most working girls you will meet have other commitments as well and would also not want to be tied down to one guy, even if they like you, especially if you were going to be leaving soon. IMHO, But others could comment better on this.

Lastly, all girls working or otherwise don't mind presents, especially lingerie. I am sure this would not be an issue, and there are plenty of options in BKK shopping malls from la perla to street vendors!

Not something you should worry about, but if you are really that concerned, try Livingstones Lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 33. It's a mongerers hotel, with girls on premises, so there's no chance you will need to worry about feeling uncomfortable. Other options would be Majestic Suites near Nana Plaza (Sukhumvit Soi 4), Dynasty Inn Grande (Sukhumvit Soi 6), or S15 on Sukhumvit Soi 15. They have limited traffic and are generally hotels used by guys on the hunt.

Impossible question to answer, since this one is based on taste. I personally hate Pattaya and would stay away from it. Some others stay primarily in Pattaya and hate Bangkok. Some like to mix it up. Pattaya has a higher sleaze factor to me, but is cheaper. Why not spend the 1st day in Bangkok, the 2nd day in Pattaya, then plan the rest of the stay based on your 1st hand experiences.

You don't need to book your entire hotel stay in advance, other than your 1st night in either place. There are so many hotel options, I really don't think you need to lock in so early. Just log on to the internet as needed, to pull this website up and view the hotel thread if you get stuck. If you find Pattaya is your thing, extend your hotel stay. If you don't like it, book a room back in Bangkok before you leave Pattaya. Keep a list of hotels handy, in case extending is a problem.

Part of me, says you should just stay in BKK, since you only have 5 days. Get to know the city and then next time try Pattaya. There's a lot of ground you should cover and 5 days is not much. Soapy's, Go-Go's, Oil Massage joints, Beer Bars, Night Clubs, G-Clubs, Freelancers, Thermae, Eden Club, etc. etc. etc.

Most are open till 2:00am these days, but always subject to change. There are also after hours spots, also subject to change, and they run till about 4:00am (E.g. Spice Club at the Ambassador). There are also many smaller beer bars, which will "close" at 1:00am or 2:00am, but with a few patrons still inside. The bar appears to be closed from the outside, but the regulars are still inside having a good time (E.g. Small bars farther down Soi 4 and on Soi 6). There are also a few 24/7 oil massage places, if you need some after hours company (E.g. Sabai Sabai on Soi 11). There are also many many girls hanging outside of Nana Plaza after 2:00am and up and down the main drag between Sukhumvit Soi 4 and Soi 15, during the late night\early morning. This street action goes on every night and centers around the food carts. Drinking, eating, etc. but you will need to get past your shyness. Hopefully, you will already have a girl for the night by 2:00am.

Not sure what reports you have been reading. FS is always included in the Soapy price (All inclusive pricing). BJ's are also pretty standard service, along with the nice pre-sex bath before the main course. Anal and other services should be discussed with the managers. Never hesitate to ask questions if in doubt, but do your homework (pricing, etc.) before you go. The Soapy slide on the mattress is also not standard, so ask, if that's what you are interested in. With the oil massage places like Tulip and Angel, FS is not included in the massage fee of 400 to 600 baht, so bear that in mind. You can get FS at Tulip and Angels for an additional 1,500 baht to the girl.

Taxi's are not a problem. More taxi's than you will ever need, any time of the day. The biggest problem is actually during the rush hours, when the city get's into gridlock mode. Taxi's will only want to travel a few blocks, during this time and will not take people to certain parts of town (waste of gas, not worth their time). Sorry, but I had to chuckle at the "riding in a cab with a stranger" question. Dude, they are going to your hotel to screw your brains out .. and the taxi ride is going to be an issue? Hmmmm, I think not.

See the photo thread and YouTube, and that should answer your question. I would just suggest that you be cool about it. I don't think too many guys would appreciate being photograhed, so try to keep them out of the picture.

LT (Long Time) is generally from the time you take them out from the bar, till morning. Some stretch it to noon, but that's getting rarer. Honestly, for me, I'm usually sending them on their way just after breakfast. I want to move on to new things, the next day. You can extend if you wish, by barfining the girl again or if she's a freelancer, working out the terms with her. Since you are "making up for lost time", tying yourself down to one girl seems like it would be counterproductive to your goal.

Soapies, the price paid includes FS. If you so wish you may give an extra tip to the girl in her hand at the end, 500B is sufficient, but only if you have a good time. If its just normal or average, then no extra tip is needed.

I also have a thing about lingerie, definitely more of a turn-on than a girl just whipping off her clothes or wearing a towel -- to me at least. In my experience, they generally are a bit surprised and amused by the idea of wearing the lingerie. It's something different, definitely feminine, the kind of thing they've probably mainly seen in movies. So nearly every girl I've done that with has been into it, even. It makes for an interesting daytime errand, going to shop for the lingerie, imagining how a girl you spotted at some go go would look in this particular item, or that one.

With just 5 days, I'd tend to stay mainly in one place. The idea below is good, stay in BKK first nite, then down to PTY the next just to get a taste, then choose. Keep in mind it takes a few hrs to get from BKK to PTY. Both have an overwhelming set of choices, especially for that short a time, so you can't really go wrong.

It's funny, but in all my visits to BKK, I have never been inclined to go up and down the even Soi side. Probably because I have never seen many freelancers on that side. The odd side is always crowded. So is there a scene on the odd Soi side? Is it any better? And between what Soi numbers?

Late at night between Soi 4 and up to Soi 8 at the most but usually not that far... maybe to landmark or so... there are usually some FL but it is after nana closes for the most part has been my experience. This is from when I was staying off of soi 8 for a while.

Some gem's IMHO... girls late at night looking for a pick up, lower cost, not as hard core for the most part but you have your hard core in there too. Usually part timers needing some extra cash. Soi 3 to Soi 11 or so you got a lot of FL during day and night but no real FL during day time on the even side between Soi 8 and Soi 4.

So after my last trip to BKK and that last report, I'm ready to head down again!

I hope I can harness abit of what I learnt the last trip and save me some money.

I will definitely check out Nataree this time and hopefully head back to Amsterdam too. What I might not do is head back to The Pent.

G-Clubs = Gentlemen's Clubs .. aka Hostess Clubs. An offshoot of the Korean hostess bar or Japanese Hostess bar. In those settings, sex is not the objective, just companionship and\or entertainment.

Like all things, there's a lot of gray area in the definitions or active practices of both. The term "Coyote Dancer\Bar" is used by many bars, for not only girls dancing on the bar tops, but also on mini stages, or spot light stages, etc. Then there are G-Clubs that feature Coyote Dancers as entertainment, like Forte in RCA.

The G-Clubs like the Pent, are for entertainment (sometimes with a live band, Karaoke, In house Nightclub, etc.) and the company of beautiful woman. They don't normally have a barfine system. If the girl likes you, she may end up seeing you outside the bar. No guarantee of sex. They will not normally leave the bar with you, but you may end up with their phone number for later contact. I would classify the Thaniya J-Bars (Japanese Bars) as G-Clubs, but many of those have a barfine system. Pegasus is also considered a G-Club and they also have a barfine system. Memberships are promoted, but are not generally required.

Pegasus is interesting, and the advantage they have is a barfine system, which guarantees that there's the takeout option. The quality of the girls is on par with the Soi 33 bars and the pricing along the same lines. I like the Pent, but it is hit and miss and you will need to get the girls phone number and arrange a meeting during her off hours. This will happen only if she's interested in you. Leads to some nice GFE experiences if the chemistry is there. CM2 is also a nice spot to find some great looking woman. Nightclubs can be hit or miss on any given night. You should check it out. You might also want to check out the Windsor Hotel Basement Bar on Sukhumvit Soi 20.

Back in April (sorry for the delay in reporting) I paid a visit to Colonze 2 which is quite easy to fine and is signposted from the main road.

This place gets quite a high rating from this forum and I was not dissapointed.

Large, fresh and comfortable. I started with a beer, sat down and talked with one of the managers. I said I had heard about the Naru Naru massage and he recommended girl No 94 in the fish bowl.

America and Europe), but now it’s time for my first trip to Bangkok in 10 years (but first mongering trip) and I have a couple of questions I’m hoping you can help me with.

I will have two stops in BKK. The first will be a one night layover so I want to maximize my time as much as possible. Question for this visit:

1) Hotels – I’d like to stay in a central location near the action. I’m thinking about somewhere on Sukhumvit near Soi Cowboy and/or Nana Plaza with fairly easy access to the expressway for my trip to the airport the next day. I’m considering the Majestic Grande, Dream, Royal President, Grand President or Livingston’s Lodge. Any recommendations?

2) Soapie – I've been dreaming about experiencing the body slide on the air mattress. It appears Nataree and Utopia are receiving many good reviews but it seems Utopia doesn't provide bodyslide? Is this true? Also, do the sideline girls ever provide bodyslides or is this just for the fishbowl girls?

3) Legitimate Thai massage – I’d like to try a real Thai massage (after the soapie of course). Any recommendation for a great legitimate experience? Right now I would choose between LL or S15 (new) for convenience and facilities. But every person has different thinking.

Q2: In a recent post in Bangkok MPs thread a few places with mattress body slide were mentioned.
Annies (I think), Darling (available from numbers over 100), Nataree, Emmanuelle, Hi Class, Victoria's Secret, Cupidy (rip-offs), J One (rip-offs), Chao Praya 2 (mostly over-weight girls in bodyslide section), Chao Praya 3, etc.

Some hot white strippers in that bar on Walking Street that has "European girls only" upstairs (can't miss it). Belarus might be worth a trip judging by those examples, but not Pattaya as it generally compares very poorly to Bangkok when it comes to hot women.

Now there is also a Tawandaeng II on Ram Intra (sort of in the suburbs so to speak). It is slightly bigger than the one on Rama III, has a much bigger parking lot. Show/band is sort of the same. Hooked up with some people around 9pm at Hillary II bar near Nana BTS. Excellent live bands, one with a really beautiful vocalist, I was quite taken by her, must go back for some photos. Very loud, impossible to have a conversation. Quite crowded with mostly Caucasians probably expats, lots of girls although I was not sure which ones were bar-fineable. Excellent place for a few drinks, although I am sure some actions are available.

Headed off to Q-club. Rather strange ambience, lots of white males hanging around, sort of an upscale disco. There is a cover charge of 700thb which includes one drink. Not sure what the system is, I think the girls are glad to have someone bring them in, many seem to work the round inside. Left before 1am just before they close. No actions or pickups.

Took a taxi to the basement at Winsor hotel. Similar to Q-club but a lot larger and full of people. Seem to have a lot more Thai people although I was told it is mostly an expat hangout. Several young and quite good looking girls, mostly hanging around in groups with one or two Thai guys. Again, some girls seem to be getting in, then just working the round, but mostly it was like a disco with limited action. Left around 3:30am, the place closes at 5am.

all in all, a good night hanging around with some friends for a few drinks, not too good in terms of mongering unless you like chasing some girls in a disco, better off at a sports bar or a massage place.

But I think raw prawns and raw crab is not a great idea.

Having visited many FKK's and BKK, Phuket & Pattaya many times, I will give you my take on the differences. I also like the Eastern European look, but I must first admit I like the slim girls without big curves regardless of the continent. Even at FKK's not all girls are stunners, but the sheer quantity of Thai girls guarantees you finding the perfect girl (or near perfect). The biggest factors are Attitude and Cost. The thai attitude gets lost in these postings some times, but they are VERY customer focused. The want to please you and many get upset if the cannot totally satisfy you. There is no sense of "clock watching" as ST is generally 2 hours and LT 6-8 hours. With all of the competition, the likelihood of a second customer that night is low, so they try harder to establish a repeat customer (never say you are there for 2 days even if you are). Last is cost. At a FKK I found myself double sessioning a girl if we really hit it off. So that is 100Euro for one hour.(50-70Euro entrance fee not included) In Thailand that 100Euro can buy you five 2 hour sessions or 2.5 days with a thai girlfriend if you like a 24 hour tour guide girlfriend. Well, I just spent the past 48 hours, drunk, "doing" Bangkok, litteraly. Stayed at the Majestic Grande as planned. 3, 300 Baht for the night, and the 24hrs wi-fi is 390 baht (not 550 as I previoulsy read somewhere in this forum). Room is great, service also, 4-star hotel quality means everything you need! Quick service weather it is asking for extra complimentary tootbrusheS (for the ladieS, at no extra charge. Nor for the toothbrushes, nor for extra guests, it is confirmed), or wether it is asking for room service (160 baht for exotic fruit platter for bed fun, meals and starters are between 150 and 300 baht, drinks are. I don't know. Stopped checking the price at some point: P)

Did Patpong, Nana Plaza, and Soi Cowboy. I have to agree with previous reports, Soi Cowboy is the best place for farangs wanting to just relax and enjoy the show, with maybe one or two ladies at their side having a nice drink. Of course you get your usual grabbing girls shouting "u hannnsum man" left and right and sometimes having a go at your family jewels, but the mood is playfull and not harrassing, and the street is simply laid back, very well lit with neon lights all over the place. And many places had full bare dancing which is a plus. Drinks 110-150 baht.

Patpong was way too crowded for my liking and bars where dark and too "back-alley type". Girls were fairly lighter skinned than Soi Cowboy, but did not seem happy to be, and occasional smiles seemed forced and simply not attractive.

I lost their contact card, drunk at the hotel, and could't call them to go with them to Pattaya, as planned the day before.

Oh yeah, and I got ripped off at the Cupid's Massage parlor. Choice was exceptional, more than 80 girls, 30 behind glass for full time girls, and 50 sitting on the side for part time girls. LOL Sometimes the pics aren't a good sample. It suprises me how guys are happy to paste very ugly pics at times including those whose looks cause geneder questions to be asked. Perhaps the stunning girls are less willing to be protographed.
If you prefer the European look you might be disappointed.
Its true that FKK has some ordinary lookers but also some incredibly stunning girls but at a much higher price than here in Thailand. 50 Euro for 30 mins in FKK (not including entrance) but here you would get a minimum of 2 hours and quite possibly the whole night in the right place.

Soi 16 is just off soi 21. Cowboy is between 21 and 23. Depending on which end of 16 you are staying on (it's a reasonably long soi), it's about a 5-20 minute walk to Cowboy. If you're down the far end towards soi Pai Singto/Rama IV, and don't want to walk, take a motorcycle taxi. A regular taxi would be awkward from there.

Soi 16 is also an uncommon Soi IMHO... many taxi drivers do not know it that well. Staying at Sommerset Lake Point it was a hassle many times getting a taxi. If you are just going to Cowboy then you are right a motorbike taxi is a few baht and a quick trip from the far end even. They did have a tuk tuk however that would take you up and down the road to either the MRT station (by Queen Sirikit) or the Soi 21. A few other properties on that Soi had tuk tuks also.

Soi 16 is also an uncommon Soi IMHO... many taxi drivers do not know it that well. Staying at Sommerset Lake Point it was a hassle many times getting a taxi. If you are just going to Cowboy then you are right a motorbike taxi is a few baht and a quick trip from the far end even. They did have a tuk tuk however that would take you up and down the road to either the MRT station (by Queen Sirikit) or the Soi 21. A few other properties on that Soi had tuk tuks also.

Generally I would agree with what you say, but they are not all the same. And they very quickly realise who will not ignore their hands out approaches. Indeed you put your Isaan G/F on a pedestal, and there are many more like her. As for your G/F's brother marrying beneath him, that was no doubt his choice, and regardless of the price paid he was no doubt a happy man.
