I'm guessing this is tied into the other new announcement that digital nomads will be allowed to stay in Thailand for extended periods. Guys had been saying they will just switch their occupation from Retired to Digital Nomad since it seems to be a much easier way to stay long term in Thailand.

Has nothing to do with being a expat. It has everything to do with tax law in Thailand and if you are a tax resident of Thailand. Being a Digital Nomad is not going to keep you from paying taxes if you fulfill the requirement to be a tax resident. As for the ease of getting the immigration status you desire I do not know. Individuals should seek counsel from trained Thai professionals if they need assistance with either taxation in Thailand or Immigration issues.

Yes, since they went legal with the weed, you can now find African guys selling harder stuff on the street. I enjoy smoking weed now and then, but I don't want people trying to sell me hard drugs walking down the sidewalk. It's the same way in Europe. It's always African immigrants selling. I imagine they have trouble finding other work, but I also suspect it's organized crime. It's too prevalent to be a coincidence.

I'm concerned that they will sour the Thai people on the idea of keeping weed legal. It's one thing to have people buying weed in shops. Getting harassed on the street is something else. I'd like it to stay legal. Of course, with the money the gov't is probably making, it would probably take something major to have them shut it down.

My hotel is on Soi 11 and I saw, which I hadn't before- in 2022- , a dozen or so bucket-hatted black dealers toward the lower end of the Soi (toward Sukhumvit end), around and in the vicinity of the 7/11 (not the corner one) and. Standing alone or in small groups of threes or fours, I guess they're pushing harder stuff now.

I had similar strange thing happened to me, met a girl on TF. She picked me up in nice car.

We went out to eat, She insist to pay, after that we went out to a bar and had a beer and played pool again.

She insisted to pay, As we were talking the truth came out. She was sugar baby of a Taiwanese bussniessman.

I am feeling sorry for those whose lives are filled with the kind of extreme negativity to the point that it pervades everything they do in their lives. Since when did being overly positive create a problem? I believe in purpose. It is an inner thing. Does not matter where you happen to be. Your purpose is internal. So Pattaya may not be the best place for anyone one of you to hire prostitutes. I am not saying it is the best place for me to do that. But I can tell you that is the best place overall that I have ever lived. Since I do not travel just to hire prostitutes that is the only perspective I have the ability to share when writing about Pattaya. It is a good place for me to live.

Most mongers are blissfully unaware of the Thai club scene in Pattaya. These start up late at night, and allow bar girls to hook up with alleged single Thai men. A lot of the men are unemployed or work sporadically, instead living off the earnings of bar girls.

Since there is a shortage of available Thai men in Pattaya, these clubs are very popular.
