    hotels - Don Invest

    Don,
I would much rather stay in a local boutique hotel as opposed to Marriotts, Sheratons, or any other chain. Its a personal preference and some of the best casa style hotels that I've visited are in Quito. I highly recommend Cafe Cultura and Mansion del Angel, both in Mariscal. I've also stayed at Antinea and Sierra Madre, which were nice, but not as nice as those previously mentioned.

    Don,

Like Enzinho said, there is a wide variety of hotels from $200 a night to $3 a night hostels. Last time I was there, I stayed at Embassy Hotel which is on Wilson Ave. $30 a night, BF included. Not sure if it is GF because I never took one to the room (Quito sems to specialize in casas). Location of Embassy is good also - walking distance to restaurants, bars, and some good casas.

Two thumbs DOWN for El Swing

Well, first the good news. Went back to Guarjira on Friday and hooked up with a black Colombiana from some smaller city in Colombia (Manizales, I think?) No pics this time, but I will definitely repeat before I leave Ecuador, so I'll bring the camera next time.

    Now, the bad.

I usually hit the non-pro bars on Saturdays, but lately I've been getting kinda of bored of chatting with hot girls that don't seem to put out. I can't tell you how many 20 something virgins I've met here, it's strange. I think I'm just hitting the wrong places, but as Munch Lunch mentioned in the Photo Gallery section, a lot of the people here in Quito are very Catholic, and I think this has a lot to do with it. So, I decided to check out El Swing.

Arrived at about 8 o'clock, and there were already a few other guys there. Paid my $7 which got me 2 beers, expensive for Quito, but I'm willing to check it out. Walked past the bar down to the stage where a girl with all kinds of tattoos was dancing. The way the club is set up is there is a stage where the shows go on to the right, and to the left there is a fairly large dance floor where you can dance with one of the girls of your choice.

I sat down to watch the strip show, and that's when I realized this place reeked, Artisttyp, why didn't you warn me about the stench in this place?!? The smell hit me like Mike Tyson hitting a lightweight contender, it smelled like someone took a dump and forgot to flush! If anyone has ever been to the Holiday Boite in Rio de Janeiro, it smelled like that place, except even more stale.

Anyways, I decided I would just ignore the smell and try to enjoy myself. The girl on stage with the tats was pretty crazy, actually I think she was the girl that Latina Addict posted on a while back, I have to admit she did have an ass that would rival any Brasilian girl's. She came over to me and asked me if she could have some of my beer. What the hell, why not, so I gave her my beer bottle. But instead of drinking it, she shook it up and sprayed it all over the club. She gave me back the bottle and almost all the beer was gone! Since beer number 1 was finished in about 2 minutes, I called the waitress over so I could get my last one. After the crazy ***** got off stage she started soliciting everyone for propinas, giving little lap dances and stuff. She came over to me and jumped into my lap. She did a little bump and grind for a minute or two, while I got some good grab ass in. Afterwards she demanded a propina, so I gave her a 50 cent coin. She wasn't too happy with that but didn't push for any more money.

After a while more girls came on stage; the selection here is pretty good, but its not any better than the $15-20 casas, so I would see no reason to take a girl from here. They don't even have rooms on site, you have to take the girl to a motel down the street or something. Anyways after each show the girls would solicit for lap dances. Now I don't know about you guys, but I don't travel thousands of miles to South America to get lap dances. In fact, IMHO, the lap dance is a symbol of everything that's wrong with America (sexual frustration, excess regulations, etc.) Also, the music here was typical crappy American strip club music, if I have to hear the song 'Lady in Red' one more time, I think I'm going to puke! I stayed for about three hours or so watching the shows, but the smell of the club started to make me lightheaded, so I decided to call it a night.

Anyways, it's official. El Swing is now on my list of mongering places that I never need to return to in my life. Other places on my list include: Meia Pataca, Balcony Bar, and Holiday Boite in Rio de Janeiro, Kapital in Fortaleza, and the entire city of Tijuana.

Don't get me wrong, I think this is a good city to monger, and there are some great places to get laid here, but El Swing is not one of them! If you're in Quito and thinking about going here, I just saved you 7 bucks; you can thank me later.

Don Invest: There are actually all kinds of very nice hotels here in Quito, I'm actually suprised by how many there are; JW Marriott, Hilton Colón, Sheraton, Swisshôtel, etc, there are all kinds.

Maltrufio: I agree with you that the strip clubs in SF are not worth it, I was just making the point that I've gotten full contact lap dances before and they don't do that much for me anymore. Anyways, Market Street Cinema is probably the nastiest strip club in the world (and not in a good way). But at least Micthell Bros. and Crazyhorse had some hot girls.

I have been to this brew pub. It is on Amazonas near Colon or thereabouts on the north side of the street. The beer is good and the bar maids were pretty cute too when I went there. The beer prices are close to US, however.

Enzinho - looking forward to a report on the new casa!

    Hotels in Quito

Just wondering what are the best hotels for a stay in Quito?

  7. #162
    Ezinho,

I live in SF now. I tried Market Street Cinema and that crap and it just doesn't do the trick for me. Spending $120+ for some skanking pale chick to jack me off in a corner with some other dudes load on the ground has lost its appeal. I spent most of the 90s in Ecuador and Peru and I'm still spoiled. I occasionally make it back but not as frequent as I would prefer. Anyway, keep up the reports, good reading.

New casa opening up here in Quito

Just wanted to let everyone know (well at least the 3 other guys that view this board, lol) that there is a new casa opening up here in Quito, I'm including a picture of the flyer I got yesterday. It says beers are $1.50, and the girls are $6 a pop (not sure for how long), so I'm assuming it's going to be a shithole, but I'm willing to go on opening day and try it out. It's not exactly in the best area though, so if anyone else is here right now and wants to come along, PM me.

Artisttyp: Thanks for the info on El Swing, I might check it out before I leave Quito, but it's not really high up on my to-do list right now. I used to frequent the San Francisco strip clubs every now and then a few years ago (Mitchell Bros, Market Street) so I'm already familiar with the full contact lap dance.

    el swing

Yes I've been there. The fee to get in includes two beers which isn't a bad deal.I got there just right after it opened so it was only me and one other guy.Two girls were dancing on stage one black colombian the other a morena from quito.I got a few lap dances (right on my lap$3/4) and they were completely nude.I guess I spent around $20 for everything without sex but you cant get that in the US.
The girls are available to take but they ask for $70 and then you pay the management to take them out.I'd say just go there for a few beers in the afternoon to get warmed up for the night ahead.

    Info on El Swing...

Just wanted to post a short report and ask anyone if they have ever been to El Swing. Ate at a Chinese restuarant near there yesterday and walked by it, had my camera with me so I thought I would take a pic. I would have gone in but it wasn't open yet. I know Latina Addict posted a hilarious report about a Colombiana he picked up there, but not much about the club. It's $7 to enter, which seems quite steep for Quito, but if its worth checking out I'll take a look. Anyone knows what exactly goes on inside, or is it just a clip joint like Vibración?

Trader 23: I would be more than happy to play tour guide if/when you decide to come to Quito. I was thinking about going to Cali at the end of the month, but with the violence in Colombia now because of the elections, I may put off my trip, or cancel it entirely and just go next year. Anyways, feel free to send me a PM...

    Went back to Guajira

Went back to Guajira last night and I'm happy to report a new batch of 19-20 year olds from the coast are now working there, took one of them upstairs for $15 and left satisfied, they are kind of shy and new to the business. Will definitely go back and try out one of her friends in the coming weeks. I'm including some pics of the room and one of the girl, but she didn't want any pictures of her front to be taken. Lots of Colombianas there too, maybe half of the girls, but they appear much more hardened and professional than the native girls. Chatted with a blonde from Medellin (Joanna, I think) tall, blonde and I would say in her mid to late 30's. I'm sure at one time she was hot (even now she's not bad, actually) but she should have gotten out of the game years ago. It's fun chatting with the Colombianas, listening to them badmouth Ecuador, and list all the things Colombia has that Ecuador doesn't. Made the mistake of mentioning that 'there's one other thing that Colombia has that Ecuador doesn't...FARC!' ;anyways, none of the Colombianas found that funny...

Gabriel Ecu: I am still here in Quito, sorry about not being able to meet up with you yet, but my schedule has been fairly tight, I have your number and will give you a call, hopefully we can meet up sometime next week (after Monday)? I do want to go to Cafe Rojo, so maybe we can go there next week.

Also, off topic but funny story, I was at KFC a few nights ago eating dinner, thinking about maybe returning to the states early, when in walks two groups of Americans, one group of Mormon missionaries, and one group of fat, pale American girls, maybe backpackers. Now, if thats not a sign that I should extend my stay here in South America, I don't know what is, talk about a wake up call. I don't know how you guys who live in the states 12 months a year do it...

I'll keep in touch with this board. I could use your help to find the places, or even go with some of you. At those prices I buy the drinks.

Hey Trader, welcome to the board. Your home country is a great place for the hobby and it is beautiful with very friendly people. The best way to get started is to read the previous reports from members who have been in Quito, Guayaquil and other places. For example, I posted a summary of all the major Quito places recently. But there are many other informative posts. Once you digest that information and you have any specific questions, feel free to post them here or PM the most pertinent member. You are unlikely to get very good replies if you ask a question that has been answered several times or very general questions (that make it obvious that previous posts have not been read). Finally, be sure to post your experiences when you do go down to Ecuador. What makes this board great is the diversity of views on the same place. Again, welcome and be safe.

    Cheers.

Also wanted to add that a couple of the girls that work at 1273 Diego de Almagro also work at night at a club called Extasis. I've never been but according to the girls the price ranges anywhere from $80-$100 for the hour! Just FYI, the monthly minimum wage here in Ecuador is approx. $80 a month! One of the girls invited me to go there last night, but I'd rather just pay the $15 and bang her in the afternoon, call me crazy!
OK - thanks. I know that one! I was there once last year around 9:30 PM and it was too late to pick a chick. Hope you are having a great time. You are overdue for a report and some pics! ;-)

    Cheers - be safe.
