Yep that's about right. Street girls in the big cities are a little cheaper, but 80 k is still only USD 25 - not the end of the world. And a lot cheaper than all but street workers and casa girls in the big cities. You can also find cheaper in on the malecon, and around pqe bolivar. Clubs are also reasonable 100-120 k.

This was my 2nd trip to Santa Marta. The first trip was in February and maybe because of covid but it seemed kind of dead but I liked the town and the beaches. So this time I brought a super hot 20 year old Vennie with me by bus from Medellín. We had a great time, stayed at the Sol Inn on cra 1 right in front of Santa Marta Bay, great hotel for 120 k COP a day right on the beach, balcony with hammock, AC, Claro cable TV, nivera and breakfast included. We went to Playa Grande in Taganga, went swimming there it was nice. We went out a few times at night we checked out Parque de LOS novios. Several girls there at about 6 pm and later they were all asking 80 k COP which is like double what I'm used to paying in Medellin or Bogotá, I think one fat one said 60 k but still not worth it. Overall I had a much better trip than the first time and while Santa Marta isn't really a mongering destination like Medellin or Bogotá or even Cúcuta, it is a cool beach town worth visiting especially if you bring your own *****. Playa Grande in Taganga and Playa Rodadero in Rodadero were nice for swimming.

Just arrived today. Its busy on the tourist streets, even during the day. Places to stay. There are hotels at all sorts of prices.

Your correct. My experience has been most SouthAmerican sex clubs are pretty sleaze to just gross. I once went to a sex operation style club (burdel) outside of Cusco that was beyond disgusting and decided not to indulge. The upstairs rooms in Bananas comes to mind. Same holds true for most Central America joints though I have been to some decent places in Guadalajara. These are sex clubs disguised as estéticas (that is what they call themselves) but the rooms and overall facilities are nice in many of them and the girls are usually shown in a line up for your choosing.

If I recall, you just hangout in Bananas and wait / hope for the right one to come along. Several years I met a hottie from MDE there and asked her to come to my hotel room instead, which was right across the street at a boutique style hotel. That scenario worked out quite well as she like the environmental change and hot showers as well. I had her over a couple of times. Most of the girls in Bananas, if they are not from there, stay at a house several doors down from Bananas. Though one time, I was over in a shopping arcade and saw a girl working in a shop who I recognized from the club.

I am going to be in Cartagena next week but the following week I have a reservation for a few days at a nice hotel next to Novios so it appears I will be in the right place for easy pickings.
