Are there any decent hotels (3-4 stars) around Zona Norte. ? Are those hotels also 'Guest friendly'? I'd rather invite the girl to come to my place rather than going to them or would it be better for me to use motels? Can anyone recommend a nice and safe area, but has close proximity to Zona Norte?

    Does Hotel Velario 'guest friendly'?

Any decent beach to see during daytime?

    Fun daytime activities in Tijuana?

What's the weather looks like in Tijuana?

How's the safety in Tijuana? During the day or night? Is it safe to walk around at night in Zona Norte? Cartel activities? For some reason, the streets in Zona Norte reminds of Santa Fe, Bogota. I don't do drugs, my Spanish is decent and I barely drink.

Fun daytime activities in Tijuana? Yes but only you can decide what is fun.

What's the weather looks like in Tijuana? Same as San Diego.

How's the safety in Tijuana? During the day or night? Is it safe to walk around at night in Zona Norte? Safe enough in my opinion. Use common sense and its safe. Stick to the main attration areas. Don't get drunk, don't accept drinks that are already open.

Planning to visit Tijuana for First time

What's up Tijuana vets, I'm planning on visiting Tijuana for the first time this Halloween weekend. The plan is to fly to SAN (planning to arrive there during the day). I will ride the 992, stop at American plaza station, take the blue line trolley to San Ysidro. I want to experience crossing the border by foot.

From there, I will take a Uber to Zona Norte. I am also planning to get a decent Airbnb / Hotel around this area so I will be closer to HK, Chicago and Tropical. The goal is to experience these 3 clubs during night times. I will try to go to different clubs for each night or maybe do 2 clubs each night LOL. What's the going rate right now for the girls in these clubs? I will also take this chance to get girls numbers, to see if I can meet them outside the club or take them on a date during the day.

During daytime, my plan is to invite a chica who piqued my interest from the club to spend time with me on the beach or do some sight seeing or tourist spots or try some nice restaurants in the area.

I'm thinking of choosing a late night return flight from SAN. Leaving from my Airbnb / Hotel from Zona Norte. How much time do I need in order for me to not miss my flight from SAN? I heard there are long wait times coming back when crossing border by foot? I usually give myself 4 hours before my flight. Just because I like to be in the airport very early. How late does San Ysidro trolley operates? Would it be better to ride Uber around that time to SAN?

    Some more questions as well:

Are there any decent hotels (3-4 stars) around Zona Norte. ? Are those hotels also 'Guest friendly'? I'd rather invite the girl to come to my place rather than going to them or would it be better for me to use motels? Can anyone recommend a nice and safe area, but has close proximity to Zona Norte?

For the reference, I visit Colombia often. I've been to Medellin, Bogota and Cartagena many times even before COVID. Did my fair share of reports on those forums. Colombia definitely still my number one mongering destination. I needed something different this time and Tijuana is on my list.

Lastly, how's the quality of girls in Tijuana compare to Colombia? Medellin spoiled me too much so not sure if Tijuana can exceed my expectations.

I will wait for the replies for me to consider before booking the flight.

Any advice and Intel will be highly appreciated. Currently, RTFF right now lol.

Last year a local told me people are dropping off dogs in Centro because they can't afford to feed them anymore. They tie them up to a lamppost then leave.

Saturday there was a street festival on Revo. Pretty good food, merchandise and games. I enjoyed some carnitas. There was also a stage with a music concert set up near the intersection of Revo and Primera by the Arch. Seating was available. The night was pretty good in Zona Norte and the chicas were plentiful.

A couple of final, very random observations from my recent trip to Tijuana a couple of weeks ago:

    1) Noticed a lot more staffing than usual in customs when heading into Tijuana through San Ysidro this past trip. Don't know if it was because of the Mexican Independence Day weekend that was coming up in a couple days but they had more booths set up and they were being more strict. Made all foreigners coming through customs complete an FMM card themselves the first time I went through. The past few times I've gone to Tijuana they haven't bothered with the FMM card, they've just waved me through and they usually just fill it out themselves with using your passport if you don't have one. But this time they made us all fill it out on our own for whatever reason. I was not charged to enter Mexico like I heard someone in a previous post here saying might be happening, but I did see a couple of people in front of me getting charged I think $20 or $30 each because they told the customs official they were staying in Mexico for 8 days, one day more than the free 7 days. It was a Thursday and they told the Mexican official they were staying until next Thursday, which the official pointed out to them was technically 8 individual days that they'd be staying in Mexico, LOL. Don't think I've ever seen that before. They paid by credit card so this didn't seem to be a shakedown situation.

The next day (Friday) I had to go to San Diego. When I came back to the border to return to my hotel I went through the Mexican nationals line and showed them my FMM card from the previous day, as I've done on multiple previous trips without issues. But this time they took my FMM card and said I had to fill out another one in the foreigner line to re-enter Mexico. But this time when I went through, instead of filling out the FMM card myself, they took my passport and scanned it, which printed out a new FMM, and then they waved me through.

Overall they were being much stricter and by the book than I've ever noticed in the past, with staff I'd never seen before. I got the impression that if I'd not had my passport, they wouldn't have let me in the country, even with a small bribe. Don't know if that's a new, permanent thing or if it was only due to the holiday, though I was in Tijuana last year around Mexican Independence Day and didn't notice any of this stuff.

Do want to reiterate how clutch Global Entry is. Had to go from Tijuana to San Diego Friday morning to run an errand and the normal line looked to be about 3 hours or so long. With Global Entry I was through the line in 5-10 minutes, which is actually a longer than normal wait time. Looking back I can't believe I spent years waiting for hours in those lines to get back to the States, Global Entry has been well worth the fee!

    2) Stray dogs seems to be a real problem in Tijuana, LOL. I'm very far from some animal activist and haven't even had any pets since I was a kid but is something I notice most of the time I'm down there. This was another security employee that works out front, so it is being reported by one of the papers that most of the shootings are drug dealers fighting to sell in the club. This is the same hypothesis that the Zeta came up with when HK had a manager killed. Might also be what happened with Chato at TB and why he wasn't around for awhile. Not sure why La Cueva is having a problem if the issue has been resolved with the other bars. The are now having a special investigation into it by the authorities so I wouldn't be surprised if they have police or GN out in front of the place for awhile but it's definitely not a good situation.

Not sure how informed the girls at HK will be besides what's in the papers unless they know guys that are into that scene. Usually what the girls say is just gossip but I would be interested if you hear anything and letting us know.
Well I didn't end up going to La Cueva del Peludo. When I got to Tijuana, texted the chica I know who works there that I was probably going to go but she literally begged me not to ever go there because it was "muy peligroso" (very dangerous). She was still in Guadalajara (where she lives) when she texted me but she said that when she comes back to Tijuana she won't be going back there, she'll be finding another place to work. By coincidence, the next day one of my regular chicas at HK brought up La Cueva and the recent shootings while I was there in the club. I told her I was thinking about going up there and she also very firmly told me not to go, that it was too dangerous. She'd never been to La Cueva but was familiar with the club and heard about the shootings through chica gossip and the news, though I didn't ask her for any details. Funny to me how these chicas, who actually work every day in these dangerous environments (so are presumably much more used to it than I am), seemed more concerned about the potential danger of that club than I was but given their advice just decided not to bother going and probably won't go in the future unless I have a clear reason to.

The traffic is going to be terrible so the ruta taxis might be avoiding the area or it will take you forever. I had a friend that lived by there and was at his place for the party and the ex was supposed to be at his place at 5 pm but was a few hours late because of the traffic to get there from Centro. My friend would usually walk to the Zona from his place and was only about 30 minutes I think. It's a very safe walk especially if you go the way that brings you but Costco and up Nios Heros. If you need better directions I will provide them.

All the festivities happen on the 15th. Like I said the party starts at 6 pm but I doubt anything will really happen till about 8 pm and the Grita is always at 10 because they go by Mexico City time. After the Grita everyone will leave to go home or to the bars to party more and drive around the city honking horns and waving the flag. The Zona should be fun as well this night as HK has a big party planned from what they post on X and Tropical will have a big party with live music.
    .
Was too tired that morning from the previous night so ended up not going to Rosarito.

Did check out the festivities a bit but came and went before the crowd got huge. Took a taxi de ruta marked "Plaza Rio" from the Revolucion area to Independencia Blvd, got out by the traffic circle, and walked up Independecia towards Palacio Municipal. Got there around 6:30 pm. They had maybe a quarter mile or so of Independencia blocked off approaching Palacio Municipal with maybe 100 or so stalls with food, drinks, games, souvenir stands, and other stuff very similar to what you would see at a big local or state fair. At the very end of the street next to the Palacio Municipal was the concert stage, which was already several rows deep with some guy on the mic prepping the crowd to get excited for the events later that night. I hung out for maybe 45 minutes or so but didn't feel like staying around late into the night so I walked across the street to Plaza Rio and then the Caliente Casino to catch 15 minutes or so of the Sunday Night NFL game (boring game between the Bears and Texans from what I recall) before catching the taxi de ruta back to Revolucion. Crowd was starting to get big with cars all over the street honking their horns at that point which was a cool atmosphere but I headed out to get some drinks on Revolucion before meeting up with one of my regular chicas later that night in HK. HK was definitely festive for a Sunday night that night though.

So after waking the next day, I packed a travel bag and dropped the rest of my luggage in the hotel, and got the trolley half a block away. Passport got scanned and they filled me out an entry form, no attempt to charge me for anything. Zona shuttle dropped me off outside Tropical, but I felt like staying at the nice and peaceful Velario, which is about the best non-chica hotel in the Zona. Also has parking if you had a vehicle. Can be had online for $66. I messaged a few reliable prospects from past trips, but got nothing back. Couldn't find much I liked the look of out, didn't want to spend time in the clubs either. So ate and went and had a beer at Mamut, then got back to looking. Eventually found a white girl stumbling past the hotel and she seemed my type, plus it's nice to be able to communicate fully. "BJ" something she claimed as a title and said she'd do whatever really. We had some shower fun, and I started banging her. Claims to have trained as a sex therapist at some point, also wanted to chase the dragon in the bathroom. It was really good, and always rewarding when they get into it too. She was moaning about being hungry though, so offered her one of the donuts I picked up at Calimax earlier. Then there was a claim it had peanuts on (pretty sure it didn't), but she was determined to spend the next 30 minutes ignoring me while dressing and getting out of there "to go get some medicine". I'm fairly sure that this medicine wasn't on open sale in the pharmacies. So off she went, leaving me hanging, I gave her 40 of 60 we'd discussed, so she was back 2 mins later saying the medicine was expensive and she really needed more, but I'd reached the end of my patience for this nonsense. We did have a good 20 mins plus of genuinely good sex, so if you know you can get there quickly and don't feel the need to hold off as long as possible, she's maybe a good bet.

Outside, I still couldn't find anything better than Adrianna, a big Columbian who used to offer up her ass for 5 plus 5 for the room when I first came to town in 2010. She does a good job of staying there while you pound her backdoor (covered this time), so made do. I've been calling her "Leandra" and "Alejandra" in my past reports (have probably seen her 6 times or so), it turns out, so she put me straight on this.

Decided I could now go sit in Tropical and enjoy a beer and a couple of fichas, but as I walked down the alley, I spotted something short and stacked, and found myself looking at Ames' beautiful eyes. We went straight off back to Velario, and I railed her raw every which way with some very enthusiastic ATM. She kind of gave away her predilection for this last time I saw her when I found her with the butt plug in her mouth unbidden. Filled her with baby batter "oh. Not in my pussy" (oops, thought I was up her butt) and walked her back after some snuggling and massage. She uses Careta's hotel and works just outside. Probably took me for 140 or so, 1 hour she said. I had some Tequila on hand for her from Calimax anyway, otherwise there's a trip to Oxxo for some kind of alcohol. Although she seems to have scaled back a bit, and she was very keen to eat the rest of my donuts (as pictured). Confirmed her phone number unchanged, but not sure why she wasn't responding on my last couple of trips. Mostly cleaned out of cash I went to Tropical, stopping at the old Playboy on the way, but the (female) mesero tried to charge me $23 for a lady drink, so I just walked out and left. Tropical, a very enthusiastic pale skinned Sonoran was finishing up on stage, and I felt like feeling that energy, so after a while, I ran into her on the stage and we got a drink on the top floor, with some good touching and LFK. I think she was a bit disappointed I didn't take her to a room. Fair, because I absolutely would like to, but no more money and likely no mas leche either.

    Went to sleep happy.

After Velario kicked me out just a shade before noon, I had breakfast of huevos con jamon and went to Chicago, my preferred Sunday destination. Couple of fichas with a seasoned old pro, who promised much and we had some fun such as swiping the limes across her nipples and accompanying the beer with that, another one disappointed I wouldn't take her upstairs (though I really don't like Jalos and that is a factor there), and then a young one who hasn't learned to put out yet, but does speak good English.

PedWest is apparently open until 2, so when I got Chicago's shuttle back to the linea at 1:48 or so, the line hadn't fully formed and I didn't have to wait an eternity to get back in.
Some man and woman really got into it last night at Velario last night (Saturday) early am Sunday. You could hear that shit all down the hallway and then they up by the reception and front. Jeez! Did you hear that ruckus last night?

I see they had a new girl working the reception at Velario yesterday. Kind of cute, small and petite. She spoke good English. If you walk from the hotel towards Nios Hereos I know you probably seen the cute Asian looking chick with glasses. She's on my TDL.
