jedi earth,
i picked up the first std in my life in quito. a case of chlamydia and/or gonorrhea, the singular symptom being a burning [CodeWord134] [CodeWord134] tube (no discharge). to be safe i took pills for the former and a shot in the ass ($11us) for the latter to put out the fire, both treatments available at any corner pharmacy (a pharmacist will escort you to a small side room to administer the shot). within two days the burning sensation disappeared. having carried doxycycline for years in my pack as a malaria supressive (in case one gets it) it was here i realized it also treats chlamydia.
how did i get chlamydia? during a thrust a condom broke. the chica obviously was not aware she had it with no symptoms – i.e., asymptomatic -- assured me she was clean, etc. yet some ten hours later, in the middle of the night, hmmm, my member feels strange.
a second incident was a case of throat gonorrhea, taken from a chica i loved to french-kiss. a sore throat being the symptom. again, researching and diagnosing myself i bought the necessary medication (pills) and promptly cured it.
since we are on the topic i will add some statistics i sent to bobisee in a private message last year.
one good thing about ecuador, the sex trade being officially legal (but not highly advertised), is all fuckclub girls must be tested for hiv/aids every three to five months by the department of health. vivian showed me her little booklet two times with the "-" (negative) sign. johnnydrama said he was shown a booklet by a streetwalker he picked up.
hiv/aids is not relatively high in ecuador, about 0.3% of people are infected. i calculated it one day: of a 13 million population in ecuador that works out to something like 39,000 individuals. compare this to a place like thailand where 1%-plus of people are infected of its 60 million population -- or more than 600,000 -- plus other diseases on top of that. ecuador is not an international sex destination while thailand is; quito in particular is a 99.999% local market.
ideally the casas, to allow a chica to enter, should prove (a) their age and (b) show their health booklet. as backup/enforcement the cops regularly do inspections of casas looking for girls without the proper papers. as a side note, always carry a copy of your passport/visa, for when doing inspections (local) males without proper id get hauled off by the cops too.
i believe the chicas are not tested for other stds. meaning chlamydia and gonorrhea -- the “silent” ones -- are out there in their asymptomatic forms. therefore a condom is key.
throughout all the casas and clubs it is standard procedure to use a condom. there are signs posted on many casa/club walls to the tune of something like “do not go condom-less for more money if you value your life / do not want to get hiv/aids.” with the exception of girlfriend vivian who initiated condom-less sex with me to prove her love (then worried like mad till her next test), no other chica voluntarily offered to fuck without a condom.
i believe one or two guys on the board have noted asking for a bbbj and getting looks back like “are you fucking crazy?” even with the high odds against a bbbj infection of any kind, that kind of response pretty much sums it up. quito girls like and use their condoms. many girls will inspect your goods previous to oral and intercourse. i actually like it when they do that. i often would, but not always, do the same (partially to inspect, partially as foreplay). taking those 'close-up' photo shots also comes in handy here. while such an inspection may not be perfect to catch every detail i believe it helps.
also, as other posters have noted, when it comes to personal hygiene some of the chicas have access to alcohol bottles to cleanse themselves after sessions. places like touch me i think 9 of the 10 chicas i was with used it every session -- some thoroughly, some sparingly. in less popular casas, where the girls don't get as much action, they may use alcohol or not.
lastly, with the exception of a dozen girls in china (after i worried like crazy until being diagosed negative for all things), quito is the first place i have truly indulged myself. am i worried about hiv/aids? oddly enough, no.
why? (a) many of the girls are single mothers of babies and/or small children. they are typical everyday normal -- sweet and (i dare say) even innocent -- girls going to work to pay the bills and put food on the table. they value their lives -- unlike the stereotyped image of a deranged 'crack-wh*re' on north-american streets.
(b) as with the threat of malaria (i have spent months in jungle areas infested with mosquitos and done weeks of trekking here), there is a hundred times more fear of the disease than the reality of it. i believe it is the same with hiv and aids. having said this i openly disclose i have not been tested since leaving quito, continuing to travel around south america.
bottom line: i believe one rolls the dice and take one's chances. while attempting to maximize life's intense experiences and ecstasies, along the way one tries to minimize potentially negative exposure as best as one can. applicable to life it is also true of sexual adventures, be it pro or non-pro.
some ten years ago i never, i mean never, wanted to fuck a prostitute. i had a hard time convincing myself to even fuck a non-pro (for fear of disease and/or the time-wasting complications of 'relationship' -- i.e., the courtship ritual). fast forward to 2006 and i am fucking pros by the dozens (i have yet to get laid in 2007). so if you are not comfortable with intercouse stay within your comfort zone and revise (or not) when you are ready. as my personal preference only, i like to systematically destroy my own comfort zones and force myself to try new things.
all risks considered, at that time in my life, for me quito was too good a bargain to pass up. a threshold was violently breached and i went to town in celebration: gorgeous pussy for $6.50 (650 pennies) to $20 just seemed unreal.
cheers.

Hey guys,
Long time reader first time poster. I've mongered all over..check my post from last year(Shanghai) and a few years before in Costa Rica.
In all honesty I have never had sex with a provider. Only HJ and CBJ. I'm too terrified of diseases(trust me once you have seen a photo of herpes lesion it changes your perspective on it). However given the number of women Bobisee and others have had sex with I am curious if anyone has ever caught an STD from a provider in Quito. And please guys SPEAK UP. This is an important subject to us all. I am seriously considering making the "plunge" i.e. sex with a provider in Quito.
Second, does anyone know any good websites to meet chicas? I have had excellent success meeting Costa Rica ticas on Yahoo and Chinese chicks on asiaexpat.com personals. Are their any good sites you guys can recommend? Its nice in between mongering to have a local girl show you around.

As for why: I kept finding the kind of chicas I like in these clubs. What do I like? My photo album is worth a thousand words, but in words: "Eighteen & nineteen: sweet dreams are made of these. However I will go up to 25, even 30 in very rare cases. Slender is key. Pretty face is key. Full breasts are nice but not essential. A small tight ass is everything. Long slender fingers (very feminine) and toes are appreciated. Long hair is preferred but not essential."
(c) 5 months of Quito my total budget was $8000 -- or $45 a day. That includes room, food, net, transport, beers and pussies. And other occasional misc items. As for $150 a day -- ?!?! -- this is Quito! You'll be puking pussy on so much indulgence. If you want to blow some cash go climb a live volcano like Cotopaxi (5897 meters)($120US), or a real thriller, Tungurahua (5016 meters).
(d) I can only answer with what I fucked. 77 chicas: 6 were Columbian, 71 were Ecuadorian (Manabi province rules!), 0 were Peruvian and/or Venezuelan.
JCR153: You're alive! Good to hear from you, man. Me living the dream?! -- you get paid for it!! ;-)
Ezinho: "How much is a penny?" will, without a doubt, be added to my next FAQ. Wow. Hmmm, I could reply 1/700th of a Tung.
Polvo: Good call on the Lists page as it might cut down some repetition / dilutive content.

Tung,
I see you perfected the Quito club list. What a amazing compilation of info. Wish I had this kind of info for so many other cities. Guayaquil could use a report like this. Hope your travels have gone well and I see you are in BA. Looking forward to reading that thread, it has been on my list of places to get to soon, along with Rio. Keep living the dream and be safe.

Hey, two cute girls in the Mariscal handed me a card yesterday for
"Coffee / Relax" 415 Ventimilla between Plaza Leonidas and Tamayo, on the right hand side as you go up the hill.
It says "$10 Relax".
(Yes, I searched the "Quito" thread for it.) Could this be the same place that's right around the corner from "Gato Caliente" next to the art shop? They put up a "Kareoke" sign within the past year or so. I'd always had a good time in there, but never saw reviews of it on the board.
Won't get a chance to visit there any time soon, just curious as to whether this is a new place, or the old one around the corner with a new look.

I would suggest that the regulars on the board come up with an appropriate title.

CR is now opening on Sundays from noon to 7pm. Not sure what chicas will be working on sunday since that is when I work, so others will have to keep us informed.

Would it be possible to get a "Lists" thread in this Forum or a "Tung's and Trinity List" thread like the Brazil forum please?
There is a cornucopia of information that needs to be preserved!
And we want to keep this place polite, upstanding and spurting - er, knowledge......
(Tung - there are some great people in BA, including Mr. Jackson. Make yourself known!!)
Suerte!

I must agree with Bobisee. I think his reply was not only polite but also helpful in the short (link to the report) and long (instructions on how to use the search function effectively) term. Believe me, if you look at some of the other threads, you would not consider Bobisee's reply to be rude or otherwise unhelpful.
Quito thread is one of the few I really enjoy reading because it is populated with nice people and informative posts. Let's keep it that way, please.
Cheers.
